Um eine exakte vertikale Führung des auf einer geschlossenen Bahn in einer horizontalen Ebene umlaufenden endlosen Riemens zu gewährleisten, besitzt dieser auf seiner verzahnten Seite eine in etwa in der Mitte der Zähne längs zur Transportrichtung durchgehend verlaufende Stegleiste. Bislang war die einen keilförmigen Querschnitt aufweisende Stegleiste ein separates Bauteil, das erst nachträglich durch Verkleben, oder Verschweißen an einem herkömmlichen Zahnriemen angebracht wurde, der hierfür zuerst an seiner verzahnten Seite ausgefräst werden musste. Nach dem Einschweißen der Stegleiste war zudem noch ein Überschleifen zur Erzielung der notwendigen Genauigkeit erforderlich. Dieser Herstellprozess ist nicht nur aufwendig und teuer, sondern führt auch zu einem nicht ausreichend sicheren Verbund der beiden im Betrieb mechanisch stark belasteten Bauteile, die sich an der Nahtstelle wieder voneinander lösen können.The belts used for this purpose consist of a toothed belt with a tooth system integrally formed on one side and an elastic sponge support arranged on the opposite side, which is frictionally engaged with the bottles.
