Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a motor vehicle seat according to the preamble of claim 1.
One of the most common road traffic injuries is na Corner injuries to a vehicle occupant as a result of a so-called lashed his head. Such injuries tre with rear-end crashes even at relatively low speeds because the neck spine of the seat occupant was enormous men is exposed to stress. To these injuries too avoid or reduce, are motor vehicle seats with so-called called crash-active, more precisely rear-crash-active headrest zen has been developed. With these seats, the one with Rear crash acting on the backrest of the motor vehicle seat Inertia of the body of the seat occupant by appropriate Mechanisms transferred to the headrest in such a way that they are moved towards the head of the seat occupant. This will counteracted the so-called whip of his head.
The present invention is based on a prior art from, for example, from FR 2 765 533 A1 and WO 97/10117 A1 evident. The backrest frame of the be in these writings written motor vehicle seat has two from the seat part protruding side rails. Within these side rails there is an egg ne inner frame arranged, the side parts of the side rails protrude upwards and there rigid by a cross frame part are interconnected. Füh are on this cross frame part welded stanchions for the mounting of a headrest. The The headrest is height-adjustable in these guides. Two each protrude from the side parts of the inner frame Ren longitudinally spaced bolts from the outside, the corresponding slots provided in the side rails intervene and are guided in this. These slots are like that arranged that the lower area of the inner frame after rear and top and the front area of the inner frame ent speaking forward and upward. Instead of this Ku Lissen guides can of course also provide appropriate handlebars be seen that can be pivoted on the axes on pivot axes tenholmen and the side part of the inner frame are stored. Impact means are provided in the lower area of the inner frame, which extend between its side parts.
In the event of a rear-end crash, the head of a seat occupant beats twice in succession on the headrest, with generic according to motor vehicle seats the inner frame by the very star ken first impact of the head on the headrest a whole Piece is pushed back to its position of use. At the second impact then the head does not hit the again headrest in its fully deployed position, so that de safety effect is impaired.
From GB 2 339 385 A a motor vehicle seat is known, the Has an airbag in its front area, that is empty when the headrest is in use. This airbag is via a line and a check valve connected to at least one other airbag in the back backrest is arranged. This at least one more air sack is filled with a foam material, which it in one "inflated" state holds. In the event of a rear-end crash the airbag in the backrest by the impact lentil body of a seat occupant pressed together so that the air contained therein, overcoming the check valve in the airbag of the headrest is pressed. This will inflated and comes into contact with the back of the seat sat, which increases the risk of a whiplash injury is wrestled.
When swiveling back the strikes Headrest support against an attenuator, which acts as an airbag is trained. The airbag fills up when swiveling forward the headrest with air that when the head moves backward support can escape through openings in the airbag, from which the damping function of the airbag results.
The object of the present invention is a genus to improve the vehicle seat so that its Headrest after a rear crash for a long enough Period remains in its release position.
This object is achieved with a motor vehicle Seat solved with the features of claim 1.
In the event of a rear-end crash, the piston rod is backrest frame from its position of use into its release position swiveling inner frame from the cylinder of the Zylin the piston unit is pulled out. At the same time, the in the Backrest arranged airbag through which essentially impacting means moving backwards compressed so that the below the piston due to its extension movement larger becoming cylinder volume by the squeezed out of the air bag Air is filled up. It goes without saying that the Volume of the airbag so on the cylinder volume below the Piston is matched by the incoming air Sufficient pressure is exerted on the piston and the piston rod corresponds to the release position of the inner frame appropriate extension length is kept. The release position of the In frame is fixed as long as the pressure on the airbag stops. Because the buttocks of a seat occupant during all movement phase of his body in a rear-end crash against the impact medium remains pressed, it is ensured that the inner frame and there with the headrest attached to it during the critical Phases of the rear-end crash in its, a great deal of safety against a trigger position offering a whiplash injury remains.
In a further embodiment of the present invention, it is an advantage if the piston is opposite the cylinder-piston unit against the direction of exposure from the air bag forced air volume through a compression spring into the position of use tion of the inner frame is biased. The one with a rear Air pressure building up under the piston therefore works against this compression spring, so that it continues ge in a crash is stretched. As soon as the pressure on the airbag subsides, so after a rear-end crash, the tensioned compression spring presses the piston into the cylinder so that the piston rod retracts. At the same time, this pushes the air out of the cylinder, so that the airbag is filled again. The system described a crash-active headrest takes off after the triggering event automatically resumes its use position.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is constructively advantageous if the upper and lower handlebars Can be swivel-mounted on both sides of the backrest frame tem inner frame whose pivot axes with the inner frame and the Backrest frame at the same time for a pivoting movement binding of the cylinder and the piston rod of the cylinder-piston Unit used on the backrest frame and inner frame the.
In der dazugehörigen Zeichnung zeigt in schematischer Weise:The invention is illustrated below by means of an embodiment explained in more detail. In the accompanying drawing, in schematically:

Fig. 2 is a representation of FIG. 1 with the inner frame in its release position.
The drawing only shows the frame construction, that is the supporting structure of the backrest of a motor vehicle seat. The remaining components of the seat have been left out because they are for understanding of the present invention are meaningless.
The backrest frame 1 consists of two spaced apart side rails 2 , which are stiffened against one another by crossbeams (not shown) connecting them. The side rails 2 can be connected via rotary adjusters or else rigidly to the frame structure of a seat part of the motor vehicle seat and the frame structure of a seat part of the motor vehicle seat.
An inner frame 3 is arranged within the backrest frame 1 and has two spaced-apart side parts 4 , which run essentially parallel to the side rails 2 of the backrest frame 1 . At its upper end, the two side parts 4 are connected to one another by a cross member 5 . This cross member 5 receives two spaced-apart holding rods 6 of a headrest 7 adjustable in height.
The inner frame 3 is pivotally mounted in the side rails 2 of the backrest frame 1 . For this purpose, an upper and a lower link 8 and 9 are provided on each frame, which are connected via pivot axes 10 and 12 to the side rails 2 of the backrest frame 1 and via pivot axes 11 and 13 to the side parts 4 of the inner frame 3 . A cylinder-piston unit 14 is also pivotably pivoted to the side rails 2 and the side parts 4 . This is provided at least on one side of the seat. It consists of a cylinder 15 , a piston 16 and a piston rod 17th The Zylin of 15 merges at its lower end into a bearing plate 19 which is penetrated by the pivot axis 12 . Cylinder 15 and lower link 9 thus use a common pivot axis. The piston rod 17 ends at its upper end, which protrudes from the cylinder 15 , in a bearing head 20 which is penetrated by the pivot axis 11 . Piston rod 17 and upper Len ker 8 thus also use a common pivot axis.
Between the top of the piston 16 and the upper end of the cylinder 15 , a compression spring 18 is installed, which surrounds the piston rod 17 concentrically. The compression spring 18 exerts pressure on the piston 16 so that it is held in its lowest position, shown in FIG. 1. In this state, only a small cylinder volume 21 remains between the underside of the piston and the bottom of the cylinder 15 . In this Zylindervo lumen 21 binds a line 22 which leads to an airbag 23 . The airbag 23 is arranged behind the inner frame 3 in its lower area. In this area, the side parts 4 of the inner frame 3 are rigidly connected to one another by a cross member, not shown, which in a manner to be described serves as an impact means 24 in the event of a rear-end crash.
The operation of the backrest construction statically described above is explained below. The starting point is the use position shown in FIG. 1. This position of use is to a certain extent fixed by the spring 18 pressing on the piston 16 of the cylinder-piston unit 14 . Any rattling noises of the movably positioned in the seat back frame 1 suspended inner frame 3 are thereby avoided. The air bag 23 arranged behind the impact means 24 is filled with air.
Due to the persistence of the body of a seated passenger, his torso is pressed into the backrest with very great force in a rear-end crash. His buttocks hits the lower cross member of the inner frame 3 , which acts as an impact means 24 , so that it swings out of its use position ( FIG. 1) into its release position ( FIG. 2). During this pivoting movement, the inner frame 3 moves up and forward in its upper region due to its handlebar suspension, as a result of which the headrest 7 is shifted into a position which at least reduces the impact of the head of the seat occupant on the whip. The lower region of the inner frame 3 is displaced rearwards and upwards, as a result of which pressure is exerted on the airbag 23 , so that the air volume contained in it is pressed accordingly through the line 22 into the cylinder space 21 below the piston 16 . This amount of air is dimensioned so that in the trigger position shown in FIG. 2, the pressure force acting on the underside of the piston 16 is greater than the sum of the pressure force of the compression spring 18 and the weight of the inner frame 3 and the headrest 7 connected to it . The inner frame 3 and thus the headrest 7 are so to speak fixed in their release position. Since the seat of the seated passenger remains pressed against the impact means 24 during the entire rear crash, the above-described state is maintained for the entire duration of the rear crash. Only when the pressure on the airbag 23 subsides, i.e. when the injury-relevant phases of the rear-end crash are over, is the piston 16 in the piston-cylinder unit 14 pressed down by the compression spring 18 and the dead weight of the inner frame 3 , so that the inner frame 3 automatically assumes its position of use. Through this process, the airbag 23 is filled with ge again, so that the whole system is available for another process.
