Description
Process for the production of fertilizers containing phosphate under simultaneous recovery of pure ammonium vanadate and reusable caustic soda from the by-products of the production of alumina by the alkaline method. The invention relates to a process for the production of fertilizers containing phosphate with simultaneous recovery of pure ammonium vanadate and usable again Caustic soda from the by-products of alumina production using the alkaline method, which essentially contain sodium carbonate, trisodium phosphate and sodium vanadate, whereby the phosphate is precipitated with milk of lime and then ammonium vanadate from the separated vanadate solution is obtained. It consists in that of a suspension of one part of mixed salt from the by-products of the extraction of alumina in 2.5 parts Water at temperatures from 20 to 24 ° 3.5 moles of calcium hydroxide per mole of P205, except the amount necessary for causticizing the sodium carbonate, are added, whereupon the mass is stirred until it is completely homogenized, up to 60 bis Heated to 80 ° and the precipitated dicalcium phosphate separated from the alkaline liquor, the liquor concentrated at 90 ° to a density of 1.14 to 1.15 and then to 15 is cooled to 25 °, after which the crystallized sodium vanadate is filtered off or is centrifuged and dissolved in such amounts of water at 30 to 40 ° that a Solution with 60 to 80 g of V205 / 1 is obtained, which is adjusted to pH with sulfuric acid set from 7.6 to 7.88 and with that for complete precipitation of the ammonium metavanadate required amount of ammonium sulfate or ammonium chloride is added, whereupon the precipitated ammonium metavanadate is separated and that in the course of the process The sodium hydroxide solutions obtained can be returned to the production of alumina.
It has already been proposed to separate phosphorus from vanadium phosphorus in insoluble dicalcium phosphate and vanadium in soluble sodium vanadate convict. It is also known that vanadinpen.toxyd- and natriumhydroxydhaltigen Solutions The sodium vanadate is precipitated in crystalline form when you use these solutions concentrated.
According to the invention, on the other hand, the procedure is such that the mixed salts suspended in H20 and then Ca0 is added. The precipitated dicalcium phosphate is deposited by filtration, and the filtered alkaline liquid becomes concentrated in heat to such a density that by cooling almost all of the sodium metavanadate can crystallize out. The latter is done by filtration or centrifugation of the alkaline solution, easily done in the Bayer process can be reused separately.
The sodium metavanadate crystals are dissolved in water, and the obtained Solution is almost neutralized with sulfuric acid. The subsequent ammonium sulfate or the addition of ammonium chloride results in the crystallization of high-purity ammonium vanadate. A modification of the procedure allows the vanadic acid by acidification of the Sodium vanadate solution and through subsequent hydrolysis in the heat.
The following becomes that which is the object of the present invention Procedure described.
1 Gewichtsteil Salzmischung wird in ungefähr 2,5 Teilen Wasser suspendiert und auf 20 bis 40° erwärmt und dann langsam unter Rührung Calciumhydroxyd im Verhältnis von 3,5 Molekülen Ca0 pro P205 Molekül, außer der stöchiometrisch zur Caustifizierung des ursprünglich in der Salzmischung enthaltenen Natriumcarbonates nötigen Menge, zugesetzt.1 part by weight of salt mixture is suspended in approximately 2.5 parts of water and heated to 20 to 40 ° and then slowly with stirring calcium hydroxide in proportion of 3.5 molecules of Ca0 per P205 molecule, except the stoichiometric for caustification the amount of sodium carbonate originally contained in the salt mixture, added.
After the addition of calcium hydroxide is complete, the mixture is stirred until it is complete Homogenization of the mass and heated up to 60 to 80 °. It is then filtered and wash the precipitate thoroughly with warm water. The precipitate thus obtained consists mainly of calcium carbonate and dicalcium phosphate, whose P205 content 80% is soluble in ammonium citrate solution and therefore alone or in mixture with other suitable compounds as fertilizers with basic properties use finds. The alkaline solution obtained from the filtration, together with the wash water obtained from the first dicalcium phosphate wash with a Average density from 1.10 to 1.13 at 60 °, then up to densities of 1.14 concentrated to 1.16 at 90 °, while the weak washing liquid of the phosphate is used to suspend the mixed crystals in the following operation.
The concentrated alkaline solution is then up to 15 to 25 ° cooled to cause the crystallization of the sodium metavanadate dissolved therein. The above-mentioned crystals are separated from the solution by filtration, and the solution, since it contains considerable amounts of Na OH, is readily included in the Bayer cycle used again.
The sodium metavanadate crystals are then at 30 to 40 ° with a such an amount of water that a solution containing 60 to 80 g / 1 V205 is obtained results. The solution is then brought to a pH of 7.6 to 8 with sulfuric acid, and finally approximately 1.8 parts of ammonium sulfate crystals (or equivalent Ammonium chloride) added for each part V205.
