Description
Pilot burner for gases with low ignition speeds, especially liquefied gases When igniting a Bunsen burner fed with liquid gas by means of a separate one Pilot burner a more or less clear deflagration takes place, through the the flame of the pilot burner is often blown out. Bring the burner briefly after ignition again to go out, it can happen that the burner flames have not yet re-ignited the pilot flame and it remains extinguished, so that when the main gas burner is opened again as soon as possible because of the inertia of the pilot flame safety device unburned gas can escape.
One can also observe that when the main gas burner suddenly goes out the immediate cessation of the hot gas buoyancy creates air currents that Extinguish the pilot flame. It is therefore more slowly ignitable when used Gases required to take measures when air currents occur Prevent the pilot flame from blowing out.
So far, therefore, LPG pilot burner has been designed so that the Burner head has several gas outlet openings distributed around the circumference, see above that several individual pilot lights burning in different directions arise. In many cases this ensures that not all of the flames are present when wind occurs be blown out at the same time. However, it has been shown that such a pilot burner not sufficient to reliably prevent the pilot flame from being blown out. Of the Wind sweeping past the pilot burner finds very little wind at the burner head Resistance, so that practically there is hardly a slipstream in which there is one Part of the flame can remain burning.
The invention is based on the knowledge that it is important on such pilot burners as many gas outlet openings as possible - of course without any increase the gas consumption - to create and also to enlarge the slipstream.
This is achieved according to the invention in that the gas outlet openings having part of the pilot burner head of a cup-shaped wire mesh body is formed, the diameter of which is at least twice as large as that of the pilot burner mixing tube. It has been shown that by such an enlargement of the pilot burner head significantly greater insensitivity to wind is achieved. In addition, it is achieved that a large number of gas outlet openings is created, so that practically a ring of flames burns. The wind sweeping past such a burner head also occurs the wire mesh an increased resistance leading to vortex formation, so that the slipstream zone is enlarged. The top floor area is expedient of the cup-shaped wire mesh body covered by a disc, so that from above or wind coming diagonally upwards cannot enter the burner head and moreover a gas escape upwards is prevented.
It has proven to be advantageous if the end of the mixing tube in the with lateral gas outlet openings provided cavity of the burner head protrudes. Then wind hitting the side will also find resistance inside the burner head and cannot stop the gas from flowing out.
Usually the pilot burner is just like the main burner inside a device casing arranged and accessible through a casing opening. The who Wind, which endangers pilot flames, is therefore usually entered through this opening in the jacket. or step out.
It is therefore expedient to have between the opening of the device casing and a shielding plate, preferably a bent tab of the pilot burner head Pilot burner holder, arranged. You can also use the shielding plate with an ignition hole provided and made so large that it is about the size of the jacket opening. Arranges one such shielding plate at approximately right angles on a widened pilot burner holder on, this creates a corner made up of two surfaces that remains practically wind-free.
An embodiment of the pilot burner designed according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings.
In Fig. 1, a Bunsen burner 1 is shown, on which by means of a Sheet metal holder 2 a pilot burner 3 is attached. The pilot burner 3 has a mixing tube 4, which protrudes into a burner head 5. The burner head 5 consists of a rotating part of relatively large diameter, in which a cup-shaped wire mesh body 6 is used. Of the overhead bottom of the wire mesh body 6 is covered by a disc 7, so that the gas only on the jacket of the wire mesh body 6 can exit all around. The end 8 of the mixing tube 4 protrudes into the cavity 9 of the Wire mesh body 6 into it, so that only the space between the gas outlet Mixing tube end 8 and the cover plate 7 remains.
The large diameter of the burner head 5, 6 favors the development a slipstream, in which part of the flame ring is retained when the wind blows remain. The inner phase 2 is widened around the ignition head 5, 6 (see. Fig. 3 and 4) and has a bent flap 10. On the flap 10 is a shielding plate 12 provided with an ignition hole 11 is pushed on, which is connected to the widened pilot burner holder 2 forms a corner 13. The shielding plate 12 has about the size of the opening 14 of the device casing 15. Through the corner 13 or the shielding plate 12, the wind entering and exiting through the opening 14 is largely removed from the pilot flame held. 'Ulan can of course leave out the shielding plate 12, because already only the flap 10 is sufficient in most cases in connection with the rest the measures outlined. to prevent the pilot flame from going out.
