Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Verteilen von digitalen Daten zwischen einem Server und den Endgeräten eines Netzwerks nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1. Herkömmliche Netzwerke (z. B. Rechnernetzwerke nach Fig. 4) bestehen aus einem Server, der über ein Serverkabel mit einem Switch (bzw. Hub) verbunden ist. Dieser Switch (bzw. Hub) ist über mehrere Patchkabel mit einem Patch Panel verbunden. Das Patch Panel weist ein Verteilerfeld mit Anschlussklemmen auf, an die die Verteilerkabel der Endgeräte (z. B. In Fig. 1 ist ein Server 1 dargestellt, der über ein Serverkabel 2 mit einem Switch(bzw. Hub) 3 verbunden ist. Dabei ist die Platine 4 mit Leiterplattenkontakten 5 ausgebildet, wobei die Kontakte 5 nach dem Einstecken der Platine 4 in die Messerleiste 14 im Gehäuse 6 des Switch(bzw. Hub) 3 die Verbindung zu dem Switch (bzw. Hub) 3 herstellt. Die Leiterplattenkontakte 5 können gegebenenfalls auch seitlich angebracht sein (wie bei Zusatzplatinen in PC's). Auf der einsteckbaren Platine 4 ist auf einer Seite ein Bereich 7 mit Verbindungselementen 8 so angeordnet, dass der Bereich 7 mit den Verbindungselementen 8 nach dem Einstecken der Platine 4 aus dem Gehäuse 6 des Switch (bzw. Hub) 3 herausragt und die Verbindungselemente 8 zum Anklemmen von Verteilerkabeln 9 zugänglich sind. An den Verteilerkabeln 9 sind Endgeräte 10 (z. B.
