Description
Design and arrangement of the ink guide and the spring attachment for fountain pens the subject of the main patent is the training and arrangement of the Ink guide for fountain pens, which are encapsulated in a sleeve of the holder head and compensation chambers of the ink guide connected by a capillary channel in front and with the exception of a capillary connection in the foremost area also opposite the Ink channel of the ink feed are closed and with against rotation by Stops secured spring.
According to the main patent, the tight seal of the compensation chambers achieved opposite the ink channel by a rib connected to the sleeve, which engages from above into the ink feeder to the bottom of the compensation chambers. In the execution according to the main patent, this is the capillary channel, which is the equalization chambers at the bottom of the ink feed connects to each other, to be completed at the front. The purpose of this training is that when filling the holder, a filling the equalization chambers is avoided if possible. In the main patent is also also mentioned that the rib engaging the ink feeder is also separate from the sleeve can be produced.
However, the training according to the main patent continues, as it turned out has, in the production, an increased care, especially in compliance exceptionally tight fits exist. Naturally, this has an effect on you Mass production in the increased cost greatly, even if to manufacture that known spraying process is used. The extraordinarily tight fits require namely, an unusual expense in terms of mold costs. In addition, that z. B. capillary connections, if they are to be fully effective, not without further ado are to be produced by spraying because the resulting smooth surfaces impair the capillary action.
In the case of known fountain pen designs, the effect has already been addressed to improve the compensation chambers of the ink feed, the way, the foremost and possibly also the rearmost one in connection with the ink channel of the ink guide standing compensation chamber with a smaller cross-section than the other compensation chambers to execute. However, this alone has not led to a satisfactory result, since it was inevitable that the compensation chambers would nevertheless be when the holder was being filled filled with. The front end of the ink feed has already been beveled downwards or conical in order to achieve that the free spring end the conical Continued shape of the sleeve of the holder head. With one designed as a short spring But then spring is not without the safe storage of the short spring against rotation further ensured, so that one has the advantage of a short spring, which is under among other things in a material saving, could not be fully exploited.
It has been shown that, compared to the main patent, there is a production-wise Considerable simplification can be achieved if, according to the invention, at forward open design of the lower capillary groove of the ink feed that of the sleeve separately manufactured rib that engages the ink feed from above, as one tapering from back to front, with a lower approach into the ink channel engaging V-ledge forms the rear part with its front end the spring, designed as a short spring, reaches under to their heart hole, the Ribs of the compensation chambers on the top of the ink feeder so flattened are that the air channels formed on both sides of the V-ledge, known per se obtained a segment-like cross-section and that in the front area of the V-ledge a recess or the like for receiving and supporting a rear extension part the short spring is provided. It is advantageous to be in the front part of the ink feed on the top of the flattened limiting ribs of the compensation chambers flat Arranged grooves, which are preferably located in front of it on the side of the ink feeder connect the recesses. Another advantage is that which is known per se Way at the top of the holder tip until just before the heart hole of the short feather reaching and on the underside carrying an air opening further advanced sleeve on the protruding underside with a concave groove in which the Air opening is attached. Finally, there can also be another capillary connection of the ink channel can be provided with the rearmost compensation chamber. Around even can still save a relatively high proportion of material with a short spring according to the invention, the edges of the rear part of the short spring to the rear strongly conically converge and in the longitudinal, preferably also conical Skip the extension part. This conical extension part of the short spring can then engage in a corresponding nose or the like of the ink feed. Of course can then in a manner known per se with regard to the appearance and handling of the holder of the ink feeder at the front end are bevelled downwards so that that the free end of the spring continues the conical shape of the sleeve.
Fig. 10 die Kurzfeder in Seitenansicht.10 shows the short spring in side view.
On the holder head 1, the sleeve 11 is screwed, which the ink feeder 4 and the equalization chambers 7 incorporated into it. The ink feed 4 is - as usual - pushed into a longitudinal bore 3 of the holder head 1 and is secured in its position after the sleeve 11 has been screwed on. After this The main patent should be the compensation chambers 7 and the capillary channel connecting them 9 to the front and up to a capillary connection 15 in the foremost area of the ink feed 4 can also be closed off with respect to the ink channel 6 of the ink conductor 4. There are so, in order to ensure this effect, very tight fits are provided, in particular between the engaging in the ink channel 6 of the ink guide 4 according to the main patent Rib, which in turn is either incorporated into the sleeve 11 or separated from it can be produced. According to Fig. 1, this difficulty of fitting is avoided by that the rib is replaced by a V-ledge 14a tapering from the rear to the front which is inserted into the sleeve 11. The wedge strip 14a has on its underside a projection 14b which engages in the ink channel 6 of the ink guide 4, namely as with the main patent down to the bottom of the compensation chambers 7. The manufacture is hereby considerably simplified, since it is easy to install the V-ledge 14a to fit into the ink channel 6 of the ink guide 4.
The air flow within the sleeve 11 can in this embodiment be improved in that the limiting ribs 8 of the compensation chambers 7 on the top of the ink guide 4 are flattened in such a way that when 1Toberschieb the sleeve 11 between this and the ink feeder 4 on both sides of the wedge bar 1411 air channels 26 known per se are formed. Admission can be supported the air into the channels 26 through recesses 27, which are laterally in the front part of the Ink feed 4 are arranged. Flat grooves 28 (Fig. 6) provided on the top of the ink feed 4. In which illustrated embodiment, the sleeve 11 is known per se on the top Way pushed forward until shortly before the heart hole 29 of the short spring 10. On the bottom however, the sleeve 11 can also be further forward in a manner known per se be drawn and have a concave groove 30 in this part. In this Groove 30 is then attached to the per se known air opening 31.
Both the even distribution of the ink in the equalization chambers 7 as well as their return into the storage container of the holder can thereby be favored be that the foremost compensation chamber 7 and possibly also the rearmost obtained in a manner known per se a smaller cross-section than the rest Equalization chambers. This increases the capillary effect. When wearing the The compensation chambers are held in the pocket by the more powerful one at the rear Compensation chamber sucked empty via the capillary channel 9. The rearmost compensation chamber in this case advantageously has a further capillary connection 15a with the ink channel 6th
For the safe storage of the spring designed as a short spring 10 in of the sleeve 11, the short spring 10 is tapered conically on both sides in the rear part and ends in a preferably conical extension 32. This conical extension 32 for its part engages in a corresponding recess 33 in the wedge bar 14a. The parallel side edges 34 of the short spring 10 are also supported according to FIG. 4 as in the main patent on corresponding paragraphs 24 of the sleeve 11. This is the short spring 10 both against twisting and against lateral movements in perfect condition Way secured. Of course, the execution can also be made in such a way that that the conical extension 32 z. B. in a corresponding nose of the ink feed 4 or the like intervenes. In addition, the conical bevel of the rear spring part allows a considerable saving e.g. B. of gold. As Fig.1 shows, the front part of the ink feed 4 and also the front part of the short nib 10 be beveled or conical in a manner known per se. As a result what is achieved is that the free end of the short spring 10 has the conical shape of the sleeve 11 to the tip of the pen, which is both the appearance of the holder and his Handling improved.
