Massezylinder mit Kolben oder Förderschnecke zum Spritzen oder Spritzgießen von thermoplastischen Kunststoffen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im Inneren des Zylinders eine sich drehende Welle (1, 9) angeordnet ist, die bei Verwendung eines Massekolbens (2) diesen durchdringt bzw. bei Verwendung einer Schnecke in der Schneckenwelle (9) selbst besteht und daß zwischen dem Wellenstumpf (5), der, in der Förderrichtung des Spritzgutes gesehen, unmittelbar vor der Spritzdüse (8) endet und der Zylinderwandung Wälzkörper zum Mastizieren (4) angeordnet sind, die einerseits auf dem Wellenstumpf (5), andererseits auf der Zylinderwandung abrollen und dabei jeweils einen die Mastizierwirkung bedingenden Spalt bilden.
