Abstract

Das der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Navigationssystem bezieht sich auf die Verknüpfung von Lage, Positions- und geografischen Daten zur visuellen Darstellung der Umgebung.

Description

Die herkömmliche Navigation bedarf mehrerer verschiedener Instrumente zur Positions und Lagebestimmung im Raum.
Kreiselinstrumente können die Lage anzeigen, Navigationsrechner können aufgrund von Sensoren zurückgelegte Strecken errechnen.
Mit dem GPS System (Global Positioning System = Weltweites Positions Bestimmungssystem) ist es möglich, bezogen auf das Welt-Koordinatensystem die aktuelle Position, die Höhe und Richtung zu bestimmen, aber nicht die Lage und auch nicht die Visualisierung der Umgebung.
Die Lagebestimmung ist aber, zum Beispiel in der Luftfahrt, ein entscheidendes Kriterium für die Sicherheit der an Bord befindlichen Personen als auch der Umgebung.
Mit den herkömmlichen Navigationsgeräten kann man nur entweder die zweidimensionale Position anzeigen oder die Lage im Raum.
Die Erfindung betrifft die erforderliche Verknüpfung einer geografischen Datenbank mit einem Lagebestimmungs- und einem Visualisierungssystem, welches eine dreidimensionale Navigation inclusive der Lagebestimmung im Raum erlaubt.
Dieses Navigations-Visualisierungssystem, erlaubt es somit, zum Beispiel einem Flugzeugführer, sich trotz schlechten Wetters an der dreidimensional geografisch abgebildeten Umgebung zu orientieren.

Claims (1)

  1. Visuelles Navigationssystem, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Daten der aktuellen Position, Lage und Geografie gekoppelt werden und dadurch eine visualisierte Darstellung der Umgebung erzeugt wird.
