Es ist bekannt, daß zur Verbesserung der Wasserqualität in Binnengewässer verschiedenen Systeme zur Tiefenwasserbelüftung oder -umwälzung verwendet werden. Auf unterschiedlichste Art werden dabei die sauerstoffarmen Tiefenwasserschichten mit Sauerstoff angereichert oder mit sauerstoffreichem Oberflächenwasser durchmischt. Diese Anlagen verursachen neben den Herstellungskosten auch ständige Kosten in Form von Energie- und Wartungskosten. Dieser Wasserstand wird über das erste Wehr am Auslauf reguliert. Ist das System einmal eingestellt, reguliert sich die Abflußmenge entsprechend dem Wasserstand im See von selbst.
