Es wurde nun gefunden, daß sich eine einwandfreie Haftung von chlorsulfoniertem Polyäthylen am Kautschuk oder kautschukähnlichen Stoffen erzielen läßt, wenn der Mischung mit chlorsulfoniertem Polyäthylen Benzoesäure und/oder Salicylsäure zugesetzt wird und sodann die beiden Schichten zusammenvulkanisiert werden. Im allgemeinen wird man Benzoesäure der Verwendung von Salicylsäure vorziehen, weil bei Anwendung der Benzoesäure bessere Ergebnisse hinsichtlich der Haftfestigkeit erhalten werden. Als Kautschukmischungen können beliebige natürliche oder synthetische Kautschukarten verwendet werden. Zur Hersltellung von schwer brennbaren Fußboden- und Wandbelägen, wie sie beispielsweise für den Schiffsbau oder in bestimmten handwerklichen oder industriellen Betrieben in Frage kommen, wird man solchen Mischungen, die auf 2-Chlorbutadien-Kautschuk aufgebaut sind, den Vorzug geben, weil sie schwer brennbar sind. Diese Mischungen haben ferner den Vorteil, daß sie sich von den übrigen Kautschukmischungen durch eine besonders gute Haftfestigkeit an dem chlorsulfonierten Polyäthylen auszeichnen. Aus preislichen Gründen verwendet man hierbei ein Regenerat von 2-Chlorbutadien-Kautschuk. Durch den Aufbau dieser Verbundkörper wird es möglich, diese ohne Schwierigkeinen fortlaufend auf einer automatischen Vulkan;isationsmaschine zu vulkanisieren und eine aiisgezeichnetze Haftfähigkeit zwischen den beiden elastomeren Schichten zu erzielen.
