Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft die Sterilisation chirurgischer Instrumente innerhalb eines Mikrowellenofens in einem Behaelter, der auf dem Boden eine Schicht aus einem ersten Material zur Aufnahme verdampfungsfaehiger Fluessigkeiten sowie eine solche Fluessigkeit aufweist. Der Behaelter hat weiterhin einen nicht hermetisch schlieszenden Deckel und/oder solche Waende, die fuer die im Behaelter vorhandenen Fluessigkeiten wenig oder nicht durchlaessig sind. Um eine vollstaendige Zerstoerung (Veraschung) der eingebrachten Instrumente zu erreichen, enthaelt der Behaelter eine Schicht aus stark die Temperatur erhoehendem und die elektromagnetische Energie von Mikrowellen aufnehmendem zweitem Material, z. B. Stahlwolle, mineralische Pulver usw.
