Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for the automatic collation of sheet material, in particular folding sheets, in bookbinding machines, in particular sheet collecting devices, by means of an optoelectronic scanning device.
Collation apparatuses for sheet-collecting devices are known in which the position and the sequence of the sheets are checked during collation by means of printed collation marks.
Ir DD-PS 240707 a device for performing the automatic collation is described, are scanned in the printed using the scan head hot stamps and the scanning signals are evaluated by means of the electronic circuit. In this case, with the correct position of the arc, a light beam is brought to the mark with the aid of the light emitting diode of the scanning head, the mark being such that it does not reflect the light beam so that the phototransistor belonging to the scanning head receives no light. If the printed mark is not in the intended position, the light beam of the light emitting diode is reflected by the arc and received by the phototransistor. The resulting signal triggers after processing by the electronic circuit, an interruption of the process.
Furthermore, a device is known, such as those according to DD-PS 237637, in which within a working cycle when the collation mark appears on an arc, the measured values detected by the optoelectronic encoder on the signal sequence "dark-bright", the characteristic of a If there is a faulty feed, the collimator is outside the detection range of the optoelectronic encoder, whereby no mark is read and an error is registered.
Both inventions show that there? Collation occurs with the help of printed stamps. However, the imprinting of Kollationier notes on the printed sheets is associated with a considerable additional expenditure arising from the printing of the stamps themselves and the related technological regimes, as well as the demands of Buchbifi Jerei on the absorption properties of the printing ink and the defined location and size of the collation marks.
It is the object of the invention to improve the method and apparatus for collation so that the additional effort associated with the printing of marks eliminated and high reliability of the Kollationiereinrichtung is ensured with little effort and equipment.
The invention has for its object to develop the method and apparatus for collation so that without the use of Kollationler brands an objective review of the bow on their correct position and collation error by means of an optoelectronic scanner roali- art becomes.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that a defined strip of the printed image area of the sheet is scanned by the optoelectronic measuring system and the gray values of the printed and / or unprinted areas of the defined strip of the arc corresponding proportional signal sequence is output from the optoelectronic measuring system. This signal sequence is fed to the process computer, which generates characteristic values for identification and for determining the positional accuracy of the sheets. It makes sense here that the optoelectronic measuring system is arranged in the draw-off region of the magazine and signal-linked via the analog-to-digital converter with the process computer. It is expedient that the wegproportional synchronization of the input signals of the process computer of Eintourenwelle the incremental encoder is arranged downstream, which is connected to the analog-to-digital converter. It is also advantageous that each station of the collating device, to which an optoelectronic measuring system is assigned, can be separated from the signal flow. The particular advantages of the method and the device for automatic collation are that the sheet without having to attach additional markings scanned at one or more defined points of the printed image area, identified by means of the signals obtained and determines the positioning accuracy and a simultaneous control with respect to a Fehlbogens is performed so that the resulting from the imprinting of Kollationier brands additional effort and related demands of bookbinding to the printing industry with respect to the absorption properties of the printing inks and the defined location and size of the Kollationier marks are eliminated, creating a Reduction of the technical and technological effort and thus an increase in the effective power when collating the arc is achieved.

The withdrawn from the magazine 1 sheet 2 is detected by the gripper 3, withdrawn from the magazine 1 and scanned during its movement through the arranged below the magazine 1 optoelectronic measuring system 4, before the withdrawn sheet 2 released from the gripper 3 and from the collecting channel. 5 , which is equipped with a transport device, is weitergelcleitot. The optoelectronic measuring system 4 scans a defined strip of the printed image area of the bogan 2. The analogue output signals of the optoelectronic measuring system 4 correspond to a signal sequence proportional to the gray values, whereby the signals proportional to the gray values result from the sampled tone value differences between the printed batches and between the printed batches and unprinted parts of the scanned sheet 2 are converted via the analog-to-digital converter 6 into digital signals and fed to the process computer 7 for further processing. From the greyscale-proportional signal sequence of the optoelectronic measuring system 4, the process computer 7 generates significant characteristic values for identifying the sheets and their positional accuracy, which must correspond to the characteristics of the subsequent sheets. If the characteristic values do not match between the first sheet and the subsequent sheet or any two sheets scanned one after the other, an error signal is triggered by the process computer 7. The number of permissible errors leading to the triggering of an error signal is freely programmable. The distance-proportional synchronization of the input signals of the process computer 7 required for the reproducibility of the scanning operations on the subsequent sheets is realized via an incremental encoder 9 assigned to the single-turn shaft 8, which is connected to the analog-to-digital converter 6.
