Description
The invention relates to a device for drying laundry by means of a stream of hot air in a rotating, perforated drum (drum dryer).
The hot air exiting the drying drum in tumble dryers is heavily laden with fluff in addition to the moisture extracted from the laundry. Since in such dryers i. geng. A mixed air regime prevails and a portion of this hot air is supplied to the drying drum after flowing through a heater, these fluff bring the risk of clogging the heater with it. Associated with this are a reduction in performance of the drying device, fire hazard and high maintenance.
There are already known suchiye drying devices that are equipped with a filter device that removes most of the lint contained in the hot air flow from this. However, this again results in the problem of keeping the filter device clean. The lint attached to the filter device reduces its permeability, thus increasing the flow resistance and thus likewise reducing the performance of the drying device. In addition, the manual cleaning of the filter device for the operator is very troublesome and time consuming.
A known device (DE-PS 3438575) tries to counteract by an automatically emptying filter device. This is equipped with a filter bag, the opening facing down. The hot air emerging from the drying drum flows through the filter bag, with the lint taken along by it being deposited in it. For the purpose of emptying the filter bag is connected to a vibrator, which causes it to vibrate. In this way, the deposited lint from the filter bag to fall out into a collection. The disadvantage of this is that the fluff dissolve only poorly from the inner surface of the filter bag, so that the cleaning effect is not satisfactory. In addition, the material of the filter bag (textile material) is almost constantly exposed to the high temperatures of the hot air stream of up to 150 0 C and pre-scrubbed very quickly. Finally, the lint is swirled around in the dryer housing due to the shaking process and therefore can not be removed from it completely.
It is an object of the invention to remove lint from the hot air flow of a dryer automatically and safely.
Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the essence of the invention
Weitere wesentliche Merkmale der Erfindung enthalten die Patentansprüche 2 bis 13.The invention has for its object to provide a device for drying laundry with a low-wear filter device, which allows to dissipate the lint accumulated in it automatically and without residue. This object is achieved in that the filter device has a recirculating filter element whose trajectory is located with a first portion in the flow path of the dry air stream from the outlet of the drying drum to the heater and in a second section has a Flusenabsaugeinrichtung. Further essential features of the invention include the claims 2 to 13.
The device according to the invention has the advantage that the deposited on the filter element lint completely removed from this and are discharged from the dryer housing. The suction ensures that the lint is not stirred up again when detached from the filter element. The filter element is, since it can be cusgeführt from a metallic material, subjected to hot dry air flow no wear. Overall, the invention contributes to a high drying performance by reliably preventing pressure losses on the filter element and heating device due to accumulating lint.
Die zugehörigen Zeichnungen zeigen inThe invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment. The accompanying drawings show in
Fig. 1: einen Schnitt durch einen erfindungsgemäßen Trockner,1 shows a section through a dryer according to the invention,
Fig. 2: eine Darstellung des Filterelementes des Trockners gemäß Fig. 1 und in Fig. 3 und 4: eine zweite erfindungsgemäße Ausführungsvariante in zwei analogen Ansichten.2 shows an illustration of the filter element of the dryer according to FIG. 1 and in FIGS. 3 and 4 a second variant according to the invention in two analogous views.
A drying device according to the invention has, within a housing 1, a drying drum 2 whose perforated surface is perforated and thus permeable to a dry air flow. The drying drum 2 is rotatably mounted on rollers 3. To generate the dry air flow, the device has a fan 4, which is connected to the suction side of the housing 1. On the pressure side, the blower 4 is connected to the housing 1 via a heating register 5. A partition 6 provides for a corresponding demarcation. The dry air stream is guided diametrically through the drying drum 2 after entering the housing 1, in which it comes into contact with the laundry 7 to be dried.
Between the outlet of the dry air Fomes from the drying drum 2 and the blower 4, a filter device 8 is arranged with a filter element, which is formed in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 as a circular filter disk 9. This is rotatably mounted in a holder 10 and connected to a drive 11. The holder 10 is preferably arranged so that the filter disk 9 assumes the inclined position shown in FIG. 1. A baffle 12 divides the interior of the dryer so that unfiltered can not come into contact with filtered dry air. For this purpose, the separating plate 12 is also equipped with a sealing lip 13, which rests against a arranged on the circumference of the filter disc 9 sealing lip 14.
A portion of the underside of the filter disk 9 is from a Absaugdü. ; : e 15 covered, which is connected to the suction side of a fan 16. On the pressure side, the fan 16m: toinerFlusensammelkammer 17 is connected. Suction nozzle 15, fan 16 and lint collector 17 together form a Flusenabsaugeinrichtung. The suction nozzle 15 covers in the simplest case, a radial strip of the filter disk 9. However, the covered portion may also have the shape of a circular sector, that the central angle β s is 180 °.
The filter disk 9 is shown in more detail in Fig. 1. On an axis 18, a stable, circular disk-shaped TrSijer 19 is attached. This is provided with openings, however, which may be kept relatively large; to allow a good flow. By means of the sealing lip 13 is a fine-meshed lint filter 20 with the carrier 19verbunden.Am lint filter 20 is the fixed suction nozzle 15 at. To achieve a good sealing effect, it is advantageous if the seen in the direction of rotation of the filter disc 9 voidere sealing lip 21 is harder than the sealing lip located on the rear side in the direction of rotation 22nd
Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung wirkt folgendermaßen:The liquid collecting chamber 17 is separated from the remainder of the interior of the dryer by an air-permeable partition wall 23. It also has a preferably laterally arranged cleaning opening 24. The device according to the invention acts as follows:
By the blower 4, the drying air flow, which preferably consists of a part of circulating air and a part of fresh air drawn in from the outside, after heating in the heating coil 5 in the interior of the dryer and there promoted radially through the drying drum 2. In this takes the dry air flow in addition to the moisture of the laundry to be dried 7 also dust and textile lint. After leaving the drying drum 2, the dividing wall 6 forces the drying air flow, the filter disk 9 first to flow around laterally in order to then flow through the filter disk 9 from bottom to top under the suction action of the fan 4. The impurities contained in the dry air flow are stored there The purified dry air stream is separated into the already described proportion of circulating air after passing through the blower 4 and a portion of exhaust air leaving the dryer in the periods of cooling, loading and unloading of the dryer, ie when the dryer doors are open and no significant negative pressure prevails in the housing 1, and also the flow through the heating register 5 is interrupted The flattened Z one migrates in, for example, 2 to 3 revolutions past the suction nozzle 15 of the fan 16, whereby the lint is detached from the lint filter 20 and conveyed into the lint collector 17. The amounts of air used for this purpose can enter through the partition wall 23 back into the dryer interior, wherein a renewed entrainment of lint is prevented by the partition wall 23. Alternatively, it is also possible to circulate the filter disk 9 during the entire drying operation and to suck off the deposited lint. The thereby dissipated from the dryer interior with the suction air flow heat can be used in a known heat recovery device for preheating the fresh air, so that no appreciable loss of energy occurs.
In a further embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the filter element is designed as a screen drum 25. Otherwise, the dryer is constructed analogously to that in FIGS. 1 and 2. The screen drum 25 is rotatably mounted and connected with buckets in this case, not shown drive. It is provided on its outer surface with a close-meshed filter material. An end face of the screen drum 25 is open and connected via a channel 26 to the suction side of the fan 4. Below the screen drum 25, a Flusenabsaugeinrichtung with a suction nozzle 15, a fan 16 and a lint collection chamber 17 is again arranged. The suction nozzle 15, which covers a strip-shaped section of the lateral surface of the screen drum 15, is provided with sealing lips 21 and 22 in the manner already described above. The operation of this embodiment of the invention is substantially similar to that of the apparatus of FIGS. 1 and 2. The screen drum 25 is flowed through by the loaded with lint and other impurities dry air, under the suction of the blower 4, the entry into the screen drum 25th shell side and the exit from this front side takes place. This procedure ensures that the deposited on the lateral surface lint remain liable to this and are not stirred up again by emerging from the screen drum 25 air. The detachment of the lint from the screen drum 25 can be done either intermittently or continuously as in the filter disk 9 in the example described above.
The above-described second embodiment of the device according to the invention may i.a. be varied to the effect that instead of a screen drum 25, a revolving endless screen belt is used as a filter element. Again, then the removal of the filtered lint takes place by means of a strip-shaped suction nozzle. This is preferably arranged on the following in the strip running direction of the flow-through portion of the wire belt deflection.
