Abstract
The object of the invention is to find a method and a device with which the moisture content of small samples of spillable material can be measured with sufficient accuracy without weighing them and without exposing them to influences other than heating to about 100 ° C. The aim of the invention is a simple and fast method and a cheap device that can be used under production conditions on site. This is achieved according to the invention by condensing the moisture evaporating by heating a certain volume of a sample, and soaking up the condensed moisture by means of a strip of absorbent material and measuring its quantity by its diffusion in the strip. The inventive device consists of a transparent hollow glass bulb which can be closed with a stopper, and a displaceable strip of absorbent material which is guided between the stopper and the neck of the glass bulb. The warming takes place over an open flame or by means of an electrical resistance heating.

Charakterisierung des bekannten Standes der TechnikCharacterization of the known prior art
A. Berlinerers Feuchtemessung, VEB Verlag Technik, Berlin 1980, distinguishes between direct and indirect methods for the measurement of moisture. As the most common direct moisture measuring method, the weighing-drying method is mentioned, in which a sample is dried until it reaches a state of equilibrium. The moisture content results from the difference between the wet mass and the dry mass in relation to the wet mass. The disadvantage of these direct moisture measuring methods is that a measurement takes several hours to several days and that the measurement must be carried out under laboratory conditions. These disadvantages can be avoided by the indirect moisture measuring method. But these require a much higher equipment costs.
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The aim of the invention is an oinfaches and fast method for moisture measurement and a cheap device that can be used under production conditions.
Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the essence of the invention
The object of the invention is to find a method and a device with which the moisture content of small samples of bulk material can be measured with sufficient accuracy without weighing them and without exposing them to influences other than heating to about K) 0 C.
According to the invention this. Problem solved in that the evaporating by heating the sample moisture is brought to condensation, for. Example, under a glass dome, that the condensed moisture is absorbed by means of a strip of absorbent material and their amount is measured by their distribution in this strip.
By prior calibration can be concluded on the moisture content. It is possible to measure the wetted area or the wetted stretch of a strip. The moisture content of the sample thus measured is set in relation to its previously measured mass. This gives the moisture content. Since volume measurements are easier and faster to carry out under production conditions than weighing, the volume of the sample is measured by filling a calibrated container. The superfluous free-flowing material is removed by stripping the edge. The sample should then be closed closed, taking into account the density of the sample.
Es ist aber auch möglich, oine bestimmte Menge der Probe in einem geeichton Behälter in den GlaskolbenThe device according to the invention consists of a transparent hollow glass bulb, which can be closed with a stopper, and a displaceable strip of absorbent material guided between the stopper and the neck of the glass bulb, e.g. B. blotting paper that protrudes into the glass bulb. The volume or mass of the sample can be read on Mnßangaben on the glass flask. But it is also possible, oine certain amount of the sample in a geeichton container in the glass flask
Upon heating of the glass bulb at about 100 0 C, the moisture vaporizes and condenses on the glass wall of the piston.
hinzureichender Genauigkeit von ±0,5 Masseanteile in %zu bestimmen und daß die Feuchtemessung mit minimalenapparativen Aufwand schnell und vor Ort unter Produktionsbedingungen durchgeführt werden kann.to determine the accuracy to within ± 0.5 mass% and that the moisture measurement can be performed quickly and on-site under production conditions with minimal equipment overhead.
In Fig. 1, a device according to the invention is shown in section. A certain volume of a sample schOttfähigon MateriaiR is arranged in a container 1 at the bottom of the hollow glass bulb 2. This is closed with the xyiinderförmigen plug 3. Between the plug 3 and the neck of the glass bulb, a blotting paper & treifen 4 is guided, which projects into the hollow glass bulb 2. The glass bulb 2 is heated above an open flame 6. The evaporating moisture condenses on the glass wall β and is absorbed there by the blotter paper strip 4.
On the blotter paper strip 4 are measures 7, with which the moisture content of the blotting paper and with it the moisture content of the sample is measured.
