Description
The invention relates to a process for producing asbestos-free mineral fiber boards with inorganic binders and without organic or combustible constituents. The mineral fiber boards produced according to the invention are not flammable and can be used in residential, industrial, agricultural and shipbuilding as large-area structural panels, preferably as .Brandschutzverkleidungen and Dämmaterial.
According to the known processes for the production of mineral fiber and insulation plates using wire or other dewatering machines as scaffolding and reinforcement components rock and slag wool, diatomaceous earth and other and for better retention of the binder mainly asbestos, finely ground pulp, perlite, organic fiber material and used similar. The plates thus produced are all associated with the disadvantage that they contain either the physiologically harmful component asbestos or organic constituents which considerably limit the range of use.
According to DD WP 53016, DD WP 74464, DD WP 74730, DD WP 81364, DD WP 82087, and DD WP 82665, there are known processes for producing mineral fiber boards containing all asbestos as a main component. It is also shown in part that other organic and / or inorganic constituents enter into the structure of the plate, but the carrier asbestos is omitted in any case.
The use of fillers and fibers of organic origin is possible for insulation, insulation or building boards, however, special fire protection requirements can not be met with these plates (DD WP 203529).
It is the object of the invention to overcome the shortcomings of known processes and to produce asbestos-free inorganic mineral fiber board meeting the highest fire protection requirements.
The invention has for its object to provide a method for producing asbestos-free mineral fiber boards such that can be dispensed with any organic ingredients and the retention of the binder is achieved by inorganic fiber components. The technical problem is solved in the following way. To meet the fire protection requirements, only inorganic materials are used. As pulp, only rock and slag wool is used without the use of another scaffolding or reinforcing material.
Surprisingly, it has been found that wool fine fibers, on the basis of rock or slag wool, effect the retention of the binder. The effect is achieved when the rock or slag wool used consists of about 40 to 45% by weight of wool fibers with a fiber length of <2 mm, a fiber diameter of 2 to 4 μm and without shrink beads> 0.2 mm. The wool fibers should be in agglomerated form or as fiber flakes. It has been found that as a wool fine fiber mechanically treated and crushed mineral wool with the characteristics mentioned or deposited Flugstaub from Mineralwolleaniagen is suitable. The hydraulic digestion of the fiber and binding materials is carried out in one stage in turbo sols and requires only relatively short stirring times.
· .The binder used is either a sodium silicate ground to a particle size range of 0.1 to 0.5 mm, the oversaturation ratio of which should be <10%, or the two-component binder MgOYMgSO 4 . By using a suitable hydrophobing agent, for example aluminum stearate, the water absorption capacity of the plate can be lowered. ·.
