B. Glasfasern, vorteilhaft anzuwenden. The invention relates to a measuring tape, whose base body consists of fiber-reinforced plastic. As aramid and glass fibers, may be used in mixed laminates. The use of the invention is particularly useful when, in addition to the requirement to sustainably reduce the measurement uncertainty compared to conventional Meßbandmessungen by a drastically reduced mass and a length-temperature coefficient α = 0, there is a need, a high robustness of carbon fiber reinforced tapes with unidirectional reinforcement. Charakteristik der bekannten technischen LösungenCharacteristic of the known technical solutions
The DD-WP G 01 B / 247 379-7 a measuring tape made of high-performance fiber-reinforced plastic is known in which the above property parameters with respect to mass and length-temperature coefficient can be achieved by the carbon and / or aramid fibers, based on the longitudinal direction of the Bandes, with an orientation angle of 0 ... 90 ° can be arranged. The volume fraction of these fibers in the plastic composite is 10 ... 75%; their length-temperature coefficient parallel to the fiber axis is negative. In the preferred unidirectional laminates of a special fiber composite, depending on the type of carbon or aramid fibers used, their volume fraction 20 ... 60 0 A. Thus, this measuring tape, regardless of the detailed structure of its Plastmatrices and constructive details, inherently that all reinforcing fibers are aligned and densely packed arranged. The sensitive carbon fibers are protected according to the invention by a special, double-sided cover layer against mechanical effects from the outside. For this purpose, weft-fiber-reinforced glass fabrics or stitchbonded fabrics, glass fleece, films, plastic powders and paints are used.
A unidirectionally reinforced KFP tape is technologically an optimal solution, but has the disadvantages of a very low transverse strength. The coatings to be made must therefore simultaneously serve the necessary transverse reinforcement of the measuring tape. On the other hand, since the coatings adversely affect the length-temperature coefficient, flexibility and possible bending of the tape, depending on the embodiment, its thickness is practically limited to about 5 to 30% of the KFP layer. Consequently, so that only a conditionally effective transverse strength can be achieved, which indeed satisfies many applications, however, the use of KFP measuring tapes under harsher measuring conditions due to the risk of internal longitudinal break in question. The problem of transverse reinforcement is analogous to all unidirectional fiber-reinforced tapes, especially those with oriented glass fibers (DD-AP 30 900); However, not in the sharpness that the property-specific features of the carbon fibers (see Maschinenbautechnik, Berlin 34 [1985] 1, pp. 26-30) on the one hand and the desired high meßtechnische useful properties of such a band (DD-WP G 01 B / 247 379-7) to the other.
Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantage of lack of transverse strength of measuring tapes with unidirectionally arranged reinforcing fibers without affecting the advantageous performance properties, wherein in carbon fiber and aramid fiber-reinforced measuring tapes, the known possibilities for minimizing the measurement uncertainty are exhausted.
Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the essence of the invention
The object of the invention is to increase the resistance to breakage of unidirectional fiber-reinforced plastic measuring bands in the longitudinal direction. In this case, carbon fiber-reinforced measuring tapes should have the steel measuring tape adequate tensile strengths, sufficient flexibility, a length-temperature coefficient α = 0 and a very high abrasion resistance of their surface. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the main body of the measuring tape, which determines the mechanical and metrologically interesting physical properties, two or more longitudinally split, is executed, and these tape strips are connected only by films that serve the two-sided coating of the body. The gap width between the narrow, preferably two, strip strips is a maximum of one millimeter; if necessary, it can also be larger. The width of the tape strip is mainly influenced by the type of material measure, but is not greater than half the width of commercially available measuring tapes. The tape strips are made of plastic matrices in which preferably carbon fibers are stored unidirectionally and in high density; Their volume fraction in the total plastic composite depends on the type of fibers (50 ... 60% when using the preferred high-strength fibers). Are used as reinforcing fibers Ararriidfasern or the carbon fibers in mixed laminates, in this regard according to DD-WP G 01 B / 247 379-7 method; the possible use of conventional fibers takes place in a likewise known manner. As coating films which flexibly connect the laminates, stretched polyester films are preferably used. In one or in both films, the material measure of the measuring tape may be implied. The layer thickness resulting from the two films is 5 to 10% (for high-strength fibers) or 10 to 30% (for high-modulus fibers) of the KFP layer when using carbon fibers. In the case of the measuring tape according to the invention, a longitudinal break of the scale carrier is practically anticipated in a targeted manner, and a further transverse load can be reduced by means of the film hinge resulting in the middle of the tape. The narrow strip strips, which are preferably 5 to 6 mm wide in the usual line graduation, are far less susceptible to cross strains than a compact strip which is at least twice as wide. The compared to the total tape thickness (fiber laminate plus twice film thickness) lowered film hinge can serve as a guide, for. B. in an opto-electronic scanning of the material measure, or be used as a translucent layer or by incorporation of optical fibers for display and / or information purposes. Since such hinges have a virtually infinite life when properly designed, wear and tear caused by bending are not expected.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment. Fig. 1 shows a cross section of the schematic structure of the measuring tape according to the invention; in Fig. 2, the corresponding longitudinal section is shown in several planes.
The main body of the measuring tape is composed of two 5 mm wide tape strips 1, which consist of 60 vol .-% of the embedded in a plastic matrix of epoxy resin high-strength carbon fiber roving 2. The fibers are densely packed and unidirectionally arranged. The thermoset matrix used is characterized by favorable adhesion and low shrinkage properties and allows the highest possible fiber utilization. The KFP tape strips are coated on both sides with polyester films 3 and 4 so that forms between them a FilmOharnier 5 with a width of s: 1 mm. The film 3 carries a Strichteilung, which contrasts in color to the black body of the measuring tape, the film 4 is colored. In this case, the Strichteilung is applied so that the actual division and the other the corresponding digits and the like. Stand on a tape strip. Depending on the application of adhesive, the layer thickness of both films amounts to a maximum of 5... 10% of the KFP layer of the strip strip 1, the thickness of the total strip not exceeding 0.2 mm.
