Ziel der Erfindung ist die Bereitstellung von Verbindungen mit blutdrucksenkender, antiarrhythmischer und beta-Rezeptoren-blockierender Wirkung. Erfindungsgemaess werden Pyrimidinone der allgemeinen Formel I hergestellt, in der beispielsweise bedeuten: A und B zusammen mit den beiden dazwischenliegenden Kohlenstoffatomen einen gegebenenfalls substituierten Phenylring o. einen Pyridinring, D eine Alkylen-o. Hydroxyalkylengruppe, R tief 3 u. R tief 5 je ein Wasserstoffatom o. eine Alkylgruppe, R tief 4 ein Wasserstoffatom o. eine Alkoxygruppe u. R tief 6 eine Alkylgruppe, eine Alkylen- o.
