Páry nohou stojanu na prádlo jsou přitom nůžkové konstrukce přičemž horní konce párů noho jsou opatřeny hlavicemi, které mají drážky ve tvaru U a do kterých může být zasazena závěsná mříž. Po vysunutí závěsné mříže z jednoho páru nohou lze stojan na prádlo složit, přičemž nevysunutý pár nohou zůstává kloubově spojen se závěsnou mříží. Na kratších stranách závěsné mříže lze umístit také prodlužovací mříže.
