Abstract

Sub-caliber adapter is aimed to replace the original gun breech mechanism, for firing on less powerful ammunition. It consists of a casing (C), a breech (D), a lever for tensioning of breech (D) for the first shot, whereby the casing (C) of the breech (D) is by the shooting stationary and including a milled ejection window (C-1) to throw the shot cartridge. The adapter further comprises a rear stop (E-2) of the breech (D), defining the maximum length of the run breech (D), pressed to its forward position by a return spring (E.1) of the breech (D), which corresponds to the strength of the force used ammunition while in status of the unlocked breech (D), initiating a shot from his back position, are in the casing (C) slidably arranged a striker with firing (D-2) and an extractor (D-3) with a recess at the bottom. The adapter further comprises an insertion cartridge chamber (A-1), and from an insertion barrel (A-2), inserted from the front of the original weapon and locked by a particular compressive nut (A-3).

Description

Technical field

Technical solution relates to automatic or semi-automatic firearms based on the design of the Czech submachine gun Sa vz. 58. Without expert intervention in the original design of the weapon, replacement of the breech, percussion mechanism, inserting the cartridge chamber and the barrel and using the magazine shaft reduction, conversion to a weapon with an equivalent function but adapted for .22 LR caliber ammunition is achieved. . The technical solution also provides the possibility of adjusting the magazine shaft reduction for the use of various .22 LR ammunition cartridges, freely available on the market.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Self-loading and automatic weapons provide added value for the user, consisting mainly of high firepower with high wounding or penetration. However, their use also has its pitfalls, especially higher ammunition price, considerable recoil, noise, restrictions on their use in some situations (eg on some shooting ranges), and last but not least, negative impact on the environment (larger dust composition, more harmful material - usually lead - used for the production of projectiles, more material used for the production of the cartridge).

The manufacturers are trying to produce adapters to these weapons, reducing the disadvantages, while maintaining the possibility of using the original ammunition, with easy reverse conversion of the weapon. The motivation of the adapter manufacturers is also to maintain the possibility of handling the weapon with its original dimensions, similar weight and operation of the weapon. Adapters usually retain the outer shape and size of the breech, its function is often taken over by insert containing firing pin, extractor, forehead for charge and return spring.

Currently, adapters are known which allow the conversion of some automatic and semi-automatic weapons for shooting ammunition with smaller caliber, while maintaining the original way of operating the weapon. These adapters generally consist of a main or intermediate main and / or intermediate chambers, a breech and a breech housing, or a reduction of the container well. There are known adapters that interfere with the original design of the weapon, as well as adapters not requiring such intervention. There are known adapters that allow the use of all the original features of the weapon, and those that leave some of the original features unused.

Adapter manufacturers have to cope with a number of constraints arising from the design of the weapon in question (e.g., dimensions, fixed components, adapter operation limitation, high-ammunition required to maintain the weapon's self-loading or automatic operation, bolt length, weight, spring return stiffness, etc.). )

So far, no ammunition adapter of smaller caliber, designed for Czech submachine gun model Sa vz. 58 and semi-automatic weapons derived therefrom, especially CZH 2003 Sport, CZ 858 Tactical, FSN Series and VZ-58 Sport senes.

Submachine gun vz. 58 and semi-automatic weapons derived from it consist of mainly, sights (front sight, adjustable visor), breech case (lid breech case with reversible mechanism), breech (závomík, nosomík carrier with tensioning lever on the right side, bolt, striker), butt (or shoulder pads), buttocks and buttocks.

The end ejects cartridges from the magazine and pushes them into the cartridge chamber, locks the cartridge chamber when fired, ignites the charge, fires and ejects the fired cartridge. The return mechanism is used to return the slide to the extreme forward position.

The gun shoots from the front (locked) position conclusion. Function of the internal mechanism Sa vz. 58 is based on the principle of the pressure of the dust gases, which are discharged from the interior mainly through an oblique gas channel into a gas cylinder located above the barrel. In the cylinder, the gases act on the piston whose piston rod, with its rear end, rests on the carrier of the tailpiece, and thus transmits the pulse of the dust gases to it. The necessary trajectory creates a delay during which the missile leaves the barrel and the pressure of dust gases drops to a value safe to unlock the slide (this trajectory is called slip). The unlocked slide moves backwards while being pulled out of the cartridge chamber and the empty cartridge is ejected. The cartridge is pulled out by the extractor, located on the end, and a solid ejector in the holster of the gun (behind the magazine shaft) throws it right up. The piston with piston rod is returned to the forward position by a separate piston spring. The entire slide is returned to the forward position by a pre-slide spring located above the drum spring. In doing so, the wagon brings a new charge from the cartridge and pushes it into the cartridge chamber. The wagon closes the barrel and the wagon carrier, continuing forward movement, compresses the bar into the recess in the receiver. The barrel is closed and locked.

The essence of the technical solution

The essence of the small-caliber adapter lies in the change of the original caliber of the weapon, which is achieved by removing the original breech mechanism (závomníku, závomik carrier with tension lever on the right side, bolt and firing pin) and inserting individual components of the small-caliber adapter. The conversion of the weapon therefore takes place without the need for professional intervention in its original design, only the moving parts are replaced, which are normally removed during normal disassembly of the weapon. The weapon, equipped with an adapter, then shoots from the position of the unlocked breech, self-loading function is fully preserved.

Another feature of the adapter is easy convertibility to various types of available small-caliber cartridges by simply adjusting the magazine shaft reduction, as well as easy convertibility for ammunition of the given caliber of varying power, using different return springs.

Small caliber adapter is designed for Czech submachine gun model Sa vz. 58 caliber 7.62 x 39 and semi-automatic weapons derived from it, especially CZH 2003 Sport, CZ 858 Tactical, FSN Senes and VZ-58 Sport series. For weapons in caliber 5.56 NATO (.223 Remington) is intended adapter modification, differing in particular dimensions of the cartridge chamber, reduction of the magazine shaft and the absence of the cartridge mainly with detent.

Example of technical solution

The adapter consists of the following basic parts (see Figure 1): cartridge chamber A-1, locked in the B-slot reduction B, cartridge barrel A-2, locked by the lock nut A-3; reduction B reservoir shaft; case C bolt D, firing pin with extractor, ie bolt D, return spring E-l bolt D and stop E-2 bolt D.

After removing the lock, lock carrier with tensioning lever on the right side, bolts and firing pin are inserted into the original receiver of the weapon individual components of the adapter.

The barrel and cartridge chamber assembly (see Figure 2) is as follows. Insertion chamber A-1 for .22 LR caliber (not grooved, grooves begin at the mouth of the insertion barrel A-2 and run along its entire length); A-2 liner; locking nut A-3 insertable barrel, based on the gas adapter for Sa vz. 58, commercially available. The bore of the gas nozzle mouth is enlarged to a diameter of 7.62 mm. The insertion chamber A-1 (see Figure 3) is provided with a locking groove A-1.1 and groove A-1.2 for the extractor.

The insertion chamber is fixed with the locking pin B-1 (see Figure 4). By adapting the reduction of the magazine shaft B (see Figure 4), characterized by the presence of the cartridge lock pin B-1 and the magazine lock lever B-2, the adapter can be adapted to different types of B-9 magazines (see Figure 13) for .22 LR ammunition. Cartridge B-9 is not included in the adapter - it is a third-party product commonly available on the market.

The receiver C of the receiver D (see Figure 6), which serves to guide the percussion device (receiver) and to draw the receiver before the first shot, is provided with a receiver lever C-2 for this purpose; it is then provided with an ejection window C-1.

Figure 7 and Figure 8 show the composition of the breech D. This consists of the breech body D-1, the firing pin D-2 initiating the ignition of the powder dust charge on the edge of the cartridge, and the extractor D-3 cartridges. The extractor is also equipped with a spring D-4 extractor and the body is secured by a pin D-5.

A return spring E-1 is required for proper slide operation (see Figure 9). Depending on the strength of the ammunition, a spring of the appropriate force is used. The spring E-1 is loosely connected to the return spring E-2.1 (see Figure 10), fixed at the stop E-2 of the bolt E-2.2 by the return spring.

The adapter uses springs according to ČSN 026020, made of steel 14 260.

The adapter is installed on the weapon as follows:

1. First is carried out dismantling weapons Sa vz. 58 in the manner recommended by the manufacturer.

2. Subsequently, it is inserted into the cartridge chamber disassembled Sa vz. 58 the cartridge chamber A-1 down the groove A-1.1 downward (locking groove), the narrower part in the firing direction.

3. Then, the B-slot reduction B is inserted so that the locking pin B-1 fits into the transverse groove A-1.1 (the locking groove) of the cartridge chamber.

4. Next is inserted barrel A-2 into the barrel Sa vz. 58 (front) and secured with the lock nut A-3.

5. Then, the receiver C of the receiver D is inserted into the guide grooves in the rear part Sa vz. SB and inserted in the grooves forward, towards the barrel. When inserting, it is necessary to use the weapon fuses, which must be set to the "Locked" position. Unlocked mechanism prevents movement of the receiver. After installing the receiver, the fuse is returned to the “Unlocked” position.

6. Following the insertion of bolt D into the guide grooves in the rear part Sa vz. 58, which is inserted into an opening in the receiver housing C (see Figure 11). When inserting the slide it is necessary to pull the trigger. Otherwise, the trigger mechanism prevents the slide from moving.

7. Next, the slide stop E-2 and the slide cover pin E-10 are pushed in, then the spring E-1 is pushed onto the slide pin (see Figure 12). This prepared cover is mounted on the weapon in the manner recommended by the manufacturer.

At this point the weapon is ready to fire.

The gun, equipped with an adapter, shoots from the rear (unlocked) position conclusion. Before the first shot, the slide D is manually brought back to the rear by retracting the slide body. The rear position is defined by the stop E-2 breech. The body of the breech after the spring of the breech body (the original part of the weapon) is returned to the front position. There is no movement of the breech when shooting. When firing, the entire breech is returned to the front position by the breech spring, located below the E-l breech spring.

The function of the internal mechanism of the weapon provided with the adapter is based on the principle of back pressure of dust gases to the bottom of the cartridge case; the evacuation of gases from the interior mainly through the oblique gas channel into the gas cylinder is no longer used.

When the shutter release button is pressed, the slide D moves forward in the forward sliding motion from the cartridge and pushes it into the chamber A-1. When the hub is completely placed in the cartridge chamber, pulls the extractor D-3 beyond the edge of the cartridge and firing pin D-2 hits the edge of the cartridge, thereby initiating a shot. The pressure of the gases generated by the initiation of the cartridge to the bottom of the cartridge causes the slide D to move backward, the extractor D-3 pulls the cartridge in the retracted retraction, which is subsequently ejected by the ejection window C-1 using a solid ejector. The rear position of the breech is defined by the stop E-2 breech. The conclusion remains in the rear position until the next shot (trigger release).

Industrial applicability

The adapter is usable in the operation of Czech submachine gun model Sa vz. 58 and automatic or semi-automatic firearms derived therefrom, especially CZH 2003 Sport, CZ 858 Tactical, FSN Series and VZ-58 Sport series, when they are removed by removing the original parts of the percussion mechanism and replacing them to form the adapter, without the need for professional intervention in the original design of the weapon its caliber, while maintaining the function of fire.
