Abstract

El medidor de combustible automático MCA-3 ha sido creado para la medición de la cantidad de combustible que consumen los tractores u otras unidades móviles que tengan motores diesel, durante el proceso de las pruebas estatales en condiciones de explotación. El órgano sensible de medición consiste en una cámara volumétrica dividida en dos semicámaras independientes por medio de un diafragma elástico y conectadas ambas semicámaras a través de tuberías a una válvula rotativa de cuatro vías, acondicionada por un electroimán. Esta válvula es la encargada de conectar la entrada de combustible del depósito a la semicámara correspondiente y la salida del combustible de la otra semicámara al motor de una forma alternativa, posee además un derivador de flujo de combustible que entra en funcionamiento cuando el medidor no se encuentra trabajando o este sufra rotura o desperfecto, haciendo que el combustible pase directamente del tanque o depósito de combustible hasta el motor. El circuito eléctrico es el encargado de poner en marcha todo el sistema y está compuesto por relés, capacitores, diodos, contador decádico de pulsos eléctricos, interruptores y conductores, la alimentación es de 12 volts c.c. Todos los componentes van montados en una caja metálica de fácil ubicación en el equipo sometido a pruebas. El contador de pulsos registra las veces que se vacían las semicámaras, por lo que con la debida calibración se puede conocer el volumen de combustible correspondiente a cada pulso y con este valor determina el total de combustible consumido durante la prueba del equipo.The MCA-3 Automatic Fuel Gauge has been created to measure the amount of fuel consumed by tractors or other mobile units that have diesel engines, during the state testing process under operating conditions. The electrical circuit is in charge of starting the entire system and is made up of relays, capacitors, diodes, a decadal electric pulse counter, switches and conductors, the supply is 12 volts DC. All components are mounted in a metal box that is easy to locate on the equipment under test. The pulse counter registers the times the semichambers are emptied, so with the proper calibration the volume of fuel corresponding to each pulse can be known and with this value it determines the total fuel consumed during the equipment test.
