Abstract

The solution concerns a method of purification of technical calcium nitrate, produced in production of NPK fertilizer using freezing technology, to a crude material suitable for production of precipitated calcium salts, mainly of calcium carbonate of appropriate purity. The process is conducted in the following manner: The calcium nitrate is mixed with precipitated calcium carbonate and after separation of the solid phase the purified solution of calcium nitrate is obtained, used for preparation of precipitated calcium salts.
