Abstract

A mesh screen for screening rock, stone and other materials comprises a screening plate 1 of plastics material having hexagonal screening holes 2. A metallic supporting frame 3 engages with the external periphery of the screening plate 1. The supporting frame 3 comprises a framework of metal plates which extend vertically between the inlet and outlet faces of the screen plates, and which have vertical supporting elements 4 extending inwardly therefrom to engage each between a respective pair of adjacent screening holes 2 along the external periphery of the screening plate 1. The supporting frame also includes inwardly extending horizontal mounting arrangements 5 which are located each between a respective adjacent pair of screening holes 2 along the external periphery of the screening plate 1. Each mounting arrangement includes a removable fastener 8,9 which serves to connect the screening plate 1 to the framework 3 of metal plates, and also to a screen supporting structure 14. <IMAGE>
