Cl®, Br®, J®, CH3OSO3®, C2H5OSO3®, CH^OcP, OlP.
Použití těchto sloučenin je značně rozšířené a rozmanité. Kation-Aktivní tenzidy snižují účinně povrchové napětí a vykazují smá-čecí, emulgační a dispergační vlastnosti.
Vyrábí se z distearylaminu metylací a následnou kvarternizací me*tyIchloridem.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a cationic surfactant, predominantly for the preparation of compositions with a softening, antistatic and anti-microbial activity, based on oxetyl aliphatic alkanol, epichlorohydrin and tertiary aliphatic amine.
Quaternary ammonium compounds are ionic, catalytically dissociating surfactants, and are a very important class of compounds. Their hydrophobic part of the molecule is part of a cation that is practically always ammonium, mostly quaternary, exceptionally another onium ion. They can be represented by the general formula:
wherein R is a hydrophobic moiety which must be higher molecular weight, at least 8 carbon atoms in the straight chain. However, this alkyl may also be attached to an aromatic ring or an aralkyl group. 2O is alkyl, aryl and H, x, respectively, is a hydrophilic moiety wherein the anion may be of the following nature:
Cl®, Br®, J®, CH3OSO3®, C2H5OSO3®, CH3OcP, OlP.
The use of these compounds is widespread and varied. The cationic surfactants effectively reduce surface tension and exhibit wetting, emulsifying and dispersing properties. They are used, for example, in the textile industry as leveling agents, plasticizers, dispersants, textile refiners. Some types of these substances exhibit significant antimicrobial properties, so that they are used as antiseptics, bactericides, fungicides and deodorants in concentrations of 0.03 to 1%.
The main raw materials for cationic surfactants are greasy amines, ethoxylated fatty amines, petrochemical alkylamines, C12 to G14 alkyl halides, fatty acids, alkanolamines, low salt 238 548 spherical amines, pyridine, ethylenediamine, polyalkylene amines, acrylonitrile, benzyl chloride, xylyl chloride. The vast majority of cationic surfactants are still produced from fatty amines, which are prepared from fatty acids of animal arginine fats, mainly tallow and coconut oil. First of all, a nitrile is prepared from the fatty acid by reaction with ammonia under pressure and a high temperature using a dehydrating catalyst, which is further converted into the appropriate primary amine by autoclave catalytic hydrogenation and converted by methylation to a tertiary amine and then purified by vacuum distillation. the tertiary amine can only be quaternized with a suitable quaternizing agent, for example benzyl chloride.
One of the most widespread and produced cationic surfactants is distearyl dimethyl ammonium chloride, which is used as a softening and antistatic agent for textile materials. It is made from distearylamine by methylation followed by quaternization with methyl chloride. More recently, the preparation of cationic surfactants from petrochemical raw materials, i.e. petrochemical amines, has become increasingly important. In the production of petrochemical alkylamines, the most common are olefins, which are converted to alkyl halides which react with the ammonia or secondary short aliphatic aminoposyl amines to give the appropriate alkylamines or di-alkylamines.
A major drawback of all of the above preparations of quaternary ammonium salts is their complex, mostly multistage and technically demanding preparation. The above-mentioned disadvantages are eliminated by a cationic surfactant according to the invention, characterized in that it consists of 20 to 60%, preferably 25 to 40%, of the quaternary ammonium salt of type I of the general formula of R < 1 > (CHOCHO0) CHOCHCHON - Ro2 < 2 > ox r3
Cl (I) wherein R is alkyl of 4 to 22 carbon atoms in the chain, preferably 10 to 18 carbon atoms, X is 60 to 95% hydrogen and
5 to 40% of the group 4CHo-CH-O- H 2, m 2 is CH 2 Cl 2 where m - 1 to 3, n is 2 to 10 and R 1, 1 to 4 or hydroxyalkyl of 2 to 4 R 2, R 1 is alkyl having carbon carbonates and 40 to 80% water. EXAMPLE 1 238 546 In the prior art process for the preparation of chlorohydriners, the aliphatic alcohol C12 to ^ ^ ^ was used in a 100% excess of CF až v in the diethyl ether, oxethylated with 4.5 moles of ethylene oxide having an average molecular weight of 400, to which eicochlorohydrin was added, to form a monochlorohydrineter which, after isolation, has been subjected to a process of quenching with dimethylaminoethanol in an aqueous medium to form a quaternary ammonium salt I where X is substantially 100% hydrogen, containing 30% of the active ingredient (product labeled A). Similarly, dichlorohydrineter was prepared with a mixed trichlorohydrineter content on a biaxylphthalic alcohol of C 12-12 15 oxethylated with 4.5 moles ethylene oxide and 100% excess epichlorohydrin, from which quaternary ammonium I was prepared by quaternary dimethylaminoethanol in an aqueous medium, where X is practically an ICO% group (CH2-CH-O-JH containing 30% of the active ingredient (product labeled B). From the products thus prepared, 85% of the product A and 15% of the product were prepared by the quaternary ammonium salt I containing 30% of the active ingredients. The corresponding quaternary ammonium salt mixtures according to our invention have been impregnated from material such as polyamide (PAD), oolveSter (PIS), polyacrylonitrile (PAN) with a size of 30 times 11 from such a mixture of quaternary ammonium salts. cm and a concentration of 0.4 g and 1.5 g of active ingredient per dm ''' with a pressure of 45 kg / cm, a speed of 3 m per minute and fixed on the fixation frame at a temperature of 120 ° C for 3 minutes. From the weight gain, the percentage of active substance retained on the fiber was determined to be in the range of 0.1 to 0.2%. After 24 hours of air conditioning (60% RH, 25 ° C), the Terraohmeter BM 283 was measured in conjunction with the measuring probe, the ohmic surface resistance of the fabrics.
After measuring the antistatic efficacy, the skin softening efficacy was determined by comparison with the untreated material. The assessment of softening efficacy was done by 10 workers who had practical experience in determining the degree of softening to the following 5 grades:
Excellent Softening Efficiency Very Good Good Compliant Softening Softening Effectiveness Efficiency Efficiency Unsatisfactory Softening Effectiveness (Untreated Material)
238 S4B
Under the impregnation conditions described above, distearyldimethylammonium chloride, previously used, was applied at a concentration of 0.4 g and 1.5 g of active ingredient per dml of application bath.
The bactericidal efficacy of both preparations was tested by standard surfactant method. Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas ceruginosa, Candidaalbicans were used as test microbes. The results presented in the attached table clearly show that the quaternary ammonium salt of our invention is comparable to the hitherto used formulations in terms of softening efficiency, in antistatic and antimicrobial efficacy it is superior to cationic infants of this species. In Table I c, the concentration of active substance is y, the weight percentage of active substance on the fabric in% R is the surface resistance of the U fabrics indicating the softening efficiency as determined above. Table II shows the number of surviving individuals. The number of individuals is expressed in a standard way by the number of crosses. In our case, it is important that one cross indicates a high number of surviving individuals and thus low bactericidal activity.
