I na-priek dlhému času sušenia, avšak za neregu-lovatelných klimatických podmienok, dochá-dzalo často k tvorbě povrchových a vnútor-ných trhlin a tým k znehodnoteniu prírezov,hlavně stratou rezonančných vlastností dře-va.
