Abstract

Un método para procesar material fibroso celulósico de algas que comprende: (i) suspender el material fibroso celulósico en agua para formar una suspensión; y (ii) hacer pasar la suspensión a través de al menos una cámara con un gran hueco, a una alta cizalladura para producir nanofibrillas de celulosa. También se describen nanofibrillas de celulosa y nanocristales de celulosa, productos, métodos y usos de los mismos.
