Abstract

<p>Un ensamblaje de impresora (30) para aplicar etiquetas (36) a productos agrícolas P que se transportan sobre un sistema transportador (24). El ensamblaje de impresora recibe etiquetas (36) montadas en una cinta de sustrato (34) desde un suministro de etiquetas (32) e imprime el contenido en las etiquetas correspondiente al producto agrícola que se transporta. Un acumulador (42), junto con la impresora (40), se montan en un bastidor (60). El acumulador recibe etiquetas de la impresora, temporalmente almacena un número variable de etiquetas impresas y suministra las etiquetas almacenadas tal como se necesiten a un aplicador (44). El aplicador remueve las etiquetas de la cinta de sustrato y aplica las etiquetas en el producto agrícola conforme el producto agrícola se transporta por medio del sistema transportador. El acumulador adapta la diferencia en las velocidades operativas de la impresora con respecto al aplicador.</p>
