Abstract
Esta invención proporciona métodos para reducir las emisiones de mercurio en una planta de cemento que comprende al menos un horno (6), un dispositivo de recolección de partículas (10), partículas recolectadas, una corriente de gas de escape (8b), un calentador, y un depurador de mercurio, en donde el calentador y el depurador de mercurio están corriente arriba del horno. Los métodos comprenden enviar las partículas recolectadas a través del calentador, para formar especies volatilizadas de mercurio de las partículas recolectadas; enviar las partículas recolectadas del calentador corriente abajo hacia el horno y enviar las especies volatilizadas de mercurio al depurador de mercurio. La corriente de gas de escape (8c) sale del dispositivo de recolección de partículas y no se dirige hacia el calentador. Las etapas opcionales incluyen la inyección de un adsorbente de mercurio en uno o más puntos entre el horno y el dispositivo de recolección de partículas.
