Abstract

1.- Un material de compuesto, que comprende: una fase de polímero que incluye un poli(alfa-hidroxi éster) mezclado con un disolvente para mantener la fase de polímero en un estado no sólido; y una fase de cerámica bioabsorbible mezclada con la fase de polímero; en el cual, cuando el disolvente está en presencia de agua, éste se difunde de la fase de polímero para producir la solidificación de la fase de polímero y curar el material de compuesto. 2.- El material de compuesto de la reivindicación 1, en donde el disolvente se escoge de un grupo que consiste en n-metil-2-pirrolidona, 2-pirrolidona y sulfóxido de dimetilo. 3.- El material de compuesto de la reivindicación 1, en donde el poli(alfa-hidroxi éster) incluye uno o más de polilactida, policaprolactona, un copolímero que incluye poli(lactida-co-glicólido), un copolímero que incluye policaprolactona y poliactida, un copolímero que incluye polietilenglicol y uno o más poli (alfahidroxi ésteres) seleccionados del grupo consistente en policaprolactona, polilactida y poliglicólido. 4.- El material de compuesto de la reivindicación 1, en donde la fase de polímero incluye un copolímero. 5.- El material de compuesto de la reivindicación 1, en donde la fase de polímero incluye una mezcla física de un poli (alfa-hidroxi éster) y uno o más agentes hidrófilos. 6.- El material de compuesto de la reivindicación 1, en donde la cerámica bioabsorbible incluye uno o más de fosfato de calcio, sulfato de calcio y una mezcla de fosfato de calcio y sulfato de calcio. 7.- El material de compuesto de la reivindicación 1, en donde el material de compuesto está contenido en un estado no sólido en una cámara de almacenamiento dentro de un dispositivo de suministro. 8.- El material de compuesto de la reivindicación 7, en donde el dispositivo de suministro incluye una jeringa para mantener el material de compuesto en el estado no sólido antes de suministro.
