Abstract
Un proceso para tratar una alimentación de petróleo dehidrocarburo pesado comprende:a) formar una suspensión que incluye un aceite de hidrocarburo pesado y una cantidad efectiva catalíticamente de una composición catalizadora quecomprende un metal no noble del grupo VIII de la tabla periódica y un metal del grupo VIB de la tabla periódica sobre un soporte de carbono tratado confósforo,b) introducir dicha suspensión dentro de una zona de reacción en la presencia de hidrógeno, y,c) someter la suspensión a unas condiciones reductoras del número ácido para suministrar un producto de aceite de hidrocarburo que tiene una gravedad API mejorada.
