Abstract

La invención se refiere a un método para producir un crudo depetróleo pesado de un yacimiento subterráneo penetrado por un sondeo y convertir el crudo de petróleo pesado en una corriente hidrocarbonada de destilado producto y al menos una de calor, vapor de agua, electricidad y un gas síntesis, comprendiendo el método: a) producir el crudo de petróleo pesado del yacimiento subterráneo vía un sondeo dispuesto para extenderse apartir de una superficie en el yacimiento subterráneo; b) destilar el crudo de petróleo pesado en una zona de destilación del crudo de petróleo para producir una corriente hidrocarbonada de destilado que tiene un intervalo de ebullición a presión atmosférica por debajo de aproximadamente 410°C y una corriente hidrocarbonada más pesada que tiene un intervalo de ebullición a presión atmosférica por encima de aproximadamente 377°C; c) separar una corriente de aceite desasfaltado de la corriente hidrocarbonada más pesada en una zona de desasfaltado para producir una corriente de aceite desasfaltado y una corriente asfáltica residual; y d) hacer pasar la corriente asfáltica residual a una zona de combustión en lecho fluidizado para al menos su combustión parcial para producir al menos una de calor, vapor de agua, electricidad y un gas de síntesis.
