Abstract

Un aparato móvil de computación de posición para usodentro de una región atendida por una red de radio comunicación, que comprende:un primer receptor para recibir una transmisión de radio comunicación en la red de radio comunicación;un segundo receptor para recibir mensajes de posicionamiento transmitidos por un satélite de posicionamiento;circuito de computación de posición acoplado al segundo receptor; y medios acoplados a dicho primer receptor para obtener datos de posicionamiento de la transmisión del radio comunicación y para proveer los datos de posicionamiento al circuito de computación de posición para uso en la adquisición del satélite de posicionamiento.1Un método para la adquisición de un satélite de posicionamiento desde dentro el área de cubrimiento de una red de radio comunicación que transmite datos de posicionamiento; el método consiste de los siguientes pasos:recibir los datos de posicionamiento en la red de radio comunicación; y adquirir un satélite de posicionamiento con base en los datos de posicionamiento recibidos.
