Abstract

A method of combining a first stream of material with a second stream of material, said second stream of material comprising different characteristics than said first stream, said method comprising the steps of: a) introducing the first stream into an inclusion such that said first stream moves along the length of the inclusion; b) interrupting the flow of said first stream using a deflector arranged within the inclusion; and c) introducing the second stream into said inclusion, said second stream being introduced at a location currents below said baffle, interrupting the flow of said first stream through said baffle creating a low pressure region between said baffle and the introduction of said second stream sufficient to increase the efficiency of the combination of said first and second streams.
