The streams (G1, G2) can comprise two streams of different humidity and temperature, two streams of different gaseous materials, or even two streams of different liquids. The arrangement comprises a deflector structure (12) located within the enclosure through which a first stream (G1) of material passes. A second stream (G2) is then injected into the housing at a location downstream of the deflector (12). By putting the method of the present invention into practice, the passage of the first stream (G1) of material through the reflector (12) results in the creation of a low pressure region (28) between the deflector (12) and the orifice input (56) of the second chain (G2). The second stream (G2) then has a natural tendency to enter this low pressure area, thereby increasing the efficiency of mixing with the first stream (G1) of material. The baffle (12) can comprise a tapered geometry, and multiple sets of baffles and associated inlet holes can be used to combine multiple material streams.
