Abstract

Se divulgan dispositivos absorbentes, y más particularmentedispositivos absorbentes que son usados interlabialmente por usuarias femeninas para propósitos catameniales, protección para la incontinencia, o ambos. El dispositivo interlabial absorbente del presente invento comprende una porción absorbente principal y un par de extensiones flexibles unidas a la porción absorbente principal. La porción absorbente principal comprende una porción superior, y una porción inferior opuesta a la porción superior. En uso, la porción superior está colocada en la parte más interna dentro del espacio entre los labios mayores de la usuaria. El par de extensiones flexibles se extienden hacia abajo y lateralmente hacia afuera desde la porción superior de la porción absorbente principal, y preferiblemente es capaz de mantener el contacto con las superficies internas de los labios mayores de la usuaria cuando el cuerpo de la usuaria hace un rango de movimientos, incluyendo en posición de cunclillas. Adicionalmente, las extensiones flexibles son preferiblemente capaces de cubrir las puntas de los dedos de la usuaria cuando se inserta el dispositivo absorbente dentro del espacio interlabial.
