Abstract
Un elemento de lente destinado a usarse delante del ojo de un usuario portador que comprende: - una porción de prescripción configurada para proporcionar al usuario portador en condiciones de uso estándar una primera función óptica basada en la prescripción del usuario portador para corregir una refracción anormal de dicho ojo del usuario portador, y - una pluralidad de elementos ópticos contiguos, en donde cada elemento óptico tiene una función óptica bifocal simultánea que proporciona simultáneamente: - una segunda función óptica en condiciones de uso estándar y - una tercera función óptica de no enfocar una imagen en la retina del ojo en dichas condiciones de uso estándar para ralentizar la progresión de la refracción anormal del ojo.
