Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con la industria de las pinturas para cubrir superficies. La presente invención divulga un proceso para obtener pinturas usando como materia prima mermas de poliestireno expandido (EPS). A partir de la presente tecnología se busca de manera creativa convertir un residuo en un producto útil, con ahorro de recursos y a la vez subsanar grandes problemas de contaminación. La presente invención comprende las siguientes etapas, a.- tratar los desechos de EPS con un solvente orgánico hasta obtener una mezcla con una concentración de entre 20 y 80% p/p; b.- decantar las impurezas de la mezcla obtenida en la etapa (a) durante un periodo de tiempo entre 24 horas a 120 horas; c.- recolectar el sobrenadante obtenido de la etapa (b); d.- realizar una dispersión de pigmento en el sobrenadante obtenido en (c), durante 10 a 30 minutos a una velocidad entre 1.000 y 2.000 rpm; e.- Mezclar el producto de la etapa (d) con un solvente orgánico, entre 300 a 1.000 rpm, hasta lograr la concentración deseada. Además, se divulga una pintura que tiene entre un 10 y un 40% de pigmento, 70 y 1% de EPS y 0,5 y 5,0% de dispersante, y el resto es solvente.
