目前，生活中使用的茶壶都是由壶体、壶嘴、壶盖和提手构成。倒水时，用手握住提手，倾斜壶嘴将壶体中的水倒入盛水容器中。当壶体中的水较少时，倒水就必需用很大力气将壶嘴向下倾斜才能把水倒出来，很费劲，特别是对孩子、老人或有腰椎病及颈部疾病的人来说，操作起来非常不方便。
