Abstract

本实用新型公开一种卡缘连接器,包括一纵长状绝缘本体,其设有一收容卡式记忆模块的中央插槽,若干端子收容在该中央插槽内。该绝缘本体两端设有一对空腔,用来收容一对退卡装置。防止退卡装置过度旋转的结构包括一对分别设在绝缘本体两端的抵靠面和设在抵靠面附近的一对垂直面。该抵靠面与退卡装置相应的退卡部抵靠,从而阻止退卡装置过度旋转。

Description

卡缘连接器
本实用新型是有关一种卡缘连接器,尤指一种可防止退卡装置过度旋转的卡缘连接器。
随着通讯与计算机技术的发展,用于扩充计算机功能的双列直插式记忆模块(DIMM)在计算器工业中的应用日趋广泛,用于连接DIMM与主板的连接器被焊接于主板上,以使主板与DIMM卡实现电性连接。美国专利第5,074,800号、第5,167,517号、第5,211,568号、第5,302,133号及第5,364,282号揭露了几种典型的DIMM连接器结构。上述专利揭示了目前常见的DIMM连接器与美国专利第4,846,734号所揭的传统卡缘连接器之间的区别,即这种DIMM连接器两端设有一对退卡装置。如此,DIMM卡不仅被可靠地固持于DIMM连接器内,防止因震动而产生的松动、脱落,更可通过退卡装置的转动将DIMM卡方便地退出DIMM连接器。
但是,退卡装置很容易旋转过度,对主板上其它构件造成破坏。现有DIMM连接器无防止旋转过度的装置,因此,需要一种改进的具有防止过度旋转的装置的DIMM连接器来解决这个问题。
本实用新型的主要目的在于提供一种卡缘连接器,其可防止退卡装置过度旋转,而确保退卡安全、方便且不会损坏连接器本身或其它构件。
为实现上述目的,本实用新型采用如下技术方案:卡缘连接器包括一收容有若干端子的纵长状绝缘本体,一对设在该连接器两端的可转动退卡装置。每一退卡装置包括一退卡部,用来退出插在连接器中的卡式记忆模块。绝缘本体包括一对侧壁、一对端壁及一形成于该侧壁及端壁间的中央插槽。端子收容于绝缘本体中并部分延伸至中央插槽,以与卡式记忆模块实现电性连接。绝缘本体每一端壁的顶部设有一开口,作为退卡装置的组入口。绝缘本体向内且靠近退卡装置处设有一对挡止凸块。每一挡止凸块具有一抵靠面,以与相应退卡装置的退卡部相抵靠,从而防止退卡装置过度旋转。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型通过上述挡止凸块与相应退卡装置的退卡部相抵靠,从而达到防止退卡装置过度旋转并避免对主板上其它构件造成破坏的效果。
下面结合附图及较佳实施例对本实用新型作进一步说明。
图1是本实用新型卡缘连接器的立体图,其中虚线表示卡式记忆模块。
图2是图1绝缘本体一端的部分剖视图及图1退卡装置的侧视图。
图3是退卡装置直立安装于绝缘本体的侧视图。
图4是退卡装置在绝缘本体中旋转最大角度时的侧视图。
图1至图2所示本实用新型的卡缘连接器10包括一纵长状绝缘本体12,收容于绝缘本体12的若干端子14及可枢接于绝缘本体两端的两退卡装置,借助退卡装置可顶出插置在该连接器10中的卡式记忆模块100。绝缘本体12包括一对分别设于它两端的塔部80,每一塔部80分别设有一对端壁18。绝缘本体12还包括一对侧壁16,形成于上述端壁18与侧壁16间的中央插槽20及一水平对接面36,该中央插槽20的开口即设在该水平对接面36内。端子14收容在侧壁16内,并部分延伸至中央插槽20,以与卡式记忆模块100实现电性连接。绝缘本体12的每一端壁18的顶部24设有一开口22,作为退卡装置50的组入口。每一塔部80内设有一空腔28。每一空腔28与开口22及中央插槽20相通,以容纳退卡装置50。与现有技术相同,本实用新型每一侧壁16设有一穿孔26,以枢接退卡装置50。每一退卡装置50包括一用于控制退卡装置的杠杆部52,一对枢轴54分别设于杠杆部52底部的两侧,退卡部56自该杠杆部52底部一直向内延伸。
图2所示的绝缘本体12的两端分别设有一对挡止凸块30。该对挡止凸块30分别靠近收容于绝缘本体12的相应退卡装置50的退卡部56。每一挡止凸块30具有一水平的抵靠面32,以与对应的退卡装置50相抵靠,及一垂直面34以容许退卡装置50的旋转。
类似,图3及图4揭示了该对退卡装置50通过开口22被装入塔部80对应的空腔28。退卡装置50被向下移动,直到它枢轴54与绝缘本体12上的穿孔26相枢接。退卡装置50的退卡部56位于空腔28的下部。每一挡止凸块30可防止对应的退卡装置50过度旋转。
图4所示的抵靠面32呈水平状态,一阻力R向下作用于退卡装置50的退卡部56,该阻力R的作用点至枢轴54中心的距离是阻力臂L1。外力F作用于杠杆部52上部的末端,该外力F的作用点至枢轴54中心的距离是它的力臂L2。用等式表示即R*L1=F*L2;因此,R=F*L2/L1。从这式子可知阻力R与它的力臂L1成反比,即L1越大,R越小,挡止凸块30越可容易地防止退卡装置50过度旋转,同时该装置遭到破坏的风险较小。

Claims (2)

1.一种卡缘连接器,包括一纵长状绝缘本体、退卡装置和若干端子,其中绝缘本体包括一对接面、一对侧壁与一对端壁,以及设于这种侧壁与端壁间的中央插槽,每一端壁的顶部设有一开口,作为退卡装置的组入口;退卡装置设在它的端部,用来安全地将插置在该连接器中的卡式记忆模块退出,该退卡装置具有杠杆部及设在该杠杆部底部的退卡部;若干端子收容于绝缘本体的侧壁并部分延伸至中央插槽,以与记忆卡实现电性连接,其特征在于:该绝缘本体还设有邻近上述退卡装置的退卡部的挡止凸块,该挡止凸块具有可与退卡装置的退卡部相抵靠的抵靠面,从而限制退卡装置过度旋转。
2.如权利要求1所述的卡缘连接器,其特征在于:该挡止凸块设有与抵靠面相垂直的垂直面,以使退卡装置可以旋转。
