Abstract

一种模组连接器,其包括具数排贯通相对两侧的通道的绝缘本体,若干个模组都延伸有导电端子,用来接合绝缘本体的通道,每个模组都设有收容孔,从而在模组通过由延伸的导电端子组装到绝缘本体时,使所有模组的收容孔相互对齐。插销可插置在至少两相邻模组的收容孔中,从而不仅提供除绝缘本体与两个相邻模组的连接,也可以提供至少两个相邻模组间的连接。

Description

模组连接器
本实用新型是一种模组连接器,尤指一种具固持装置以同时安装至少两个相邻模组的模组连接器。
电连接器(Future Bus connector)通常用来电性连接主机板和若干个子板。其中模组插头连接器连接到主机板上,而对接模组插座连接器连接到子板上。在模组插座连接器上设有若干个承接端子用来收容从模组插头连接器中延伸的导电端子,从而将子板电性连接到主机板上。美国专利第5,066,236号案揭示了一种具若干个安装到绝缘本体上模组的模组插座连接器,其中每个模组都可以和正交的插座端子射出成型。安装在连接器两末端的模组在模组连接器组装过程中通过手工或工具而压紧,从而会影响定位,并进一步影响插座连接器与插头连接器间的电性连接。
本实用新型的目的在于,提供一种模组连接器,其不仅可以提供与绝缘本体的普通连接,而且还可以提供在相邻模组间的额外连接。
本实用新型模组连接器的模组包括有绝缘第一、二半体及一组正交的导电端子,其上设有从内表面延伸的凸起,并贯穿凸起的轴线设有收容孔;绝缘第二半体在内表面设有若干个端子收容槽,收容孔可分离地设在端子收容槽中。每一个端子都包括有焊接尾部及与之相连的连接部与接合部,其中导电端子的连接部收容在绝缘第二半体的端子收容槽中,而接合部与焊接尾部则分别延伸出绝缘第二半体的相邻两壁。
另外,本实用新型还设有具数排贯通相对两侧的通道的绝缘本体,若干个模组都具导电端子以延伸接合绝缘本体的通道。每个模组都设有收容孔,并在模组通过由延伸的导电端子组装到绝缘本体时,所有模组的收容孔都相互对齐。插销插置在至少两相邻模组的收容孔中。
比较现有技术,本实用新型可以确保模组的可靠定位,也可以提供绝缘本体与两个相邻模组的连接,此外,还可以提供至少两个相邻模组间的连接。
下面结合附图与实施例对本实用新型作进一步的说明。
图1是本实用新型的模组的立体分解图。

图7是将插销组装进模组连接器两末端相邻模组的收容孔的示意图。
请参阅图1,本实用新型的模组连接器包括绝缘第一半体1、与绝缘第一半体1相接合的绝缘第二半体2,及一组收容在绝缘第一、二半体1、2内且正交的导电端子3。正交导电端子3都具有焊接到子板的焊接尾部31、连接在焊接尾部31上的连接部32,及连接在连接部32且具两个接触臂332的接合部33,其中接触臂332可电性收容插头连接器(未图示)插入的插脚(未图示)。每个导电端子3设有相同的焊接尾部31与接合部33,这些导电端子3之间唯一的不同点在于其连接部32的长度。每个导电端子3的接合部33的接触臂332在其侧边形成有一倒刺331,从而连接绝缘本体5(图5所示)。
续请参阅图3,绝缘第一半体1设有第一壁1A与第二壁1B,其中导电端子3的连接部32与接合部33位于绝缘第一半体1的第二壁1B上。从绝缘第一半体1的内表面15延伸有若干个对接凸块11,从绝缘第一半体1内表面邻近第一壁1A处则延伸设有凸起12,并且凸起12内设有收容孔122。另外,在凸起12周缘相对位置处设有两个凹槽120。
再请参阅图4,绝缘第二半体2设有第一壁2A、相对第一壁1A的第二壁2B,及设置在第一壁2A上相对较大的洞孔22。在绝缘第二半体2的内表面25设有若干个端子收容槽20,用来收容导电端子3的连接部32。在绝缘第二半体2上设有若干个相对较小的洞孔21,从而在绝缘第一半体1与绝缘第二半体2组合时收容绝缘第一半体1的对接凸块11。在相对较大的洞孔22上的相对内周缘上形成有内边缘221,从而防止绝缘第一半体1的凸起12在组装到绝缘第二半体2的洞孔22后,而从洞孔22内松脱。
请配合参阅图2,绝缘第一半体1、一组导电端子3及绝缘第二半体2组装时,导电端子3的连接部32定位在绝缘第二半体2的端子收容槽20中,而绝缘第一半体1的对接凸块11收容在绝缘第二半体2的相对较小的洞孔21中,绝缘第一半体1的凸起12则收容在绝缘第二半体2的相对较大的洞孔22中,绝缘第一半体1的第一壁1A则与绝缘第二半体的第一壁2A相互对齐,并且绝缘第一半体1的第二壁1B与绝缘第二半体2的第二壁2B相互对齐。凸起12的凹槽120通过变形可以方便地插入相对较大的洞孔22的内边缘221中,而且内边缘221可以在凸起12插入洞孔22内后,防止凸起12从洞孔22上松脱。
请参阅图5,图2所示的若干个模组可以连接到绝缘本体5上以组成模组连接器(为清楚说明,图中仅示其一)。绝缘本体5设有若干个通道50(为简便起见,图中仅示其中一排)。请参阅图6,每个模组通过绝缘第一、二半体1、2的第二壁2A、2B和绝缘本体5的后端面的接合,并且导电端子3接合部33的接触臂331可以和相应绝缘本体5的通道50的接合,从而组装在绝缘本体5上。这样就可以达成模组与绝缘本体5间的接合。
请参阅图7,插销7为中空的圆柱构造,可通过收容孔122而与至少两个相邻的模组相接合。此外,插销7沿轴线方向设有孔口70及与孔口70相连同的纵长的凹槽72,插销7的凹槽72可使插销7具有最小的半径,从而可利利插销7插入邻近模组的收容孔122。插销7的长度可以不相同,从而使较短的插销可以连接两个模组,而较长的插销可以连接三个或者更多的模组。例如,如图7所示的插销7的长度可以连接三个模组。

Claims (6)

1.一种模组连接器,包括有绝缘本体与若干个模组及插销,其特征在于:绝缘第一半体设有从内表面延伸的凸起,及贯穿凸起轴线的收容孔;而绝缘第二半体在内表面设有若干个端子收容槽,及从端子收容槽可分离地设置的洞孔;每一导电端子都设有焊接尾部及与的相连的连接部及接合部,其中导电端子的连接部收容在绝缘第二半体的端子收容槽中,而接合部与焊接尾部则分别延伸出绝缘第二半体的相邻两壁。
2.根据权利要求1所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:插销为中空的圆柱,且圆柱设有沿轴线的孔口。
3.根据权利要求2所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:插销设有与孔口相连通的纵长状凹槽。
4.根据权利要求1所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:在绝缘第一半体的凸起周围设有至少一个凹槽。
5.根据权利要求1所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:内边缘从凸起洞孔内周缘凸出。
6.根据权利要求1所述的模组连接器,其特征在于:绝缘第一半体在内表面设有至少一个突出的对接凸块,并且绝缘第二半体设有至少一个洞孔。
