Abstract

Description
本实用新型涉及汽车气囊减震系统。
汽车气囊系统,特别是乘客侧的座位组件,通常包括一在其两端由端板封闭的槽形反应过滤罐。在反应罐内部安设一充气器。充气器通常包括一圆柱形点火罐,点火罐在其壁上设有气孔。点火罐封装一四周环绕有过滤介质的气体发生剂。一折叠气囊封装在反应罐内,在撞车传感器激活时气囊进气口可收纳来自气体发生剂的气体。
大多数现有技术的充气器包括自中心部分向外燃烧的发生剂。例如它们可以是堆叠形式的垫片类圆片,具有一穿过中心孔的点火器。或者,发生剂也可以是围绕点火器的丸粒形式。一旦点燃,产生的气体穿过圆片间的间隙中排出,通过围绕丸粒的空间,或者穿过发生剂各段之间的间隙。这些设置安排在实践中已能较好实施。然而,一些个别单件,无论发生剂或反应罐,都需要十分昂贵的制造机器和不理想的操作作业和装配工作量。因此,充气器已成为气囊组件的最昂贵部分。
因此本实用新型的首要目的是提供一种部件数目大为减少的气囊组件。本实用新型的另一目的是显著地减少装配这种组件所需的劳动量。本实用新型的其他一些目的、特征和优点从下面的描述和所附的权利要求书中将变得更为清晰。
反应过滤罐的槽形主体和充气器壳挤压成一体。气体发生剂料和点火条也是挤压制成的。主要的气体发生剂料可以延伸过滤罐的全长或者可以装配成带有一个或更多的惰性部分以控制气体生成量。
图1为一立体分解图,表示组成本实用新型气囊组件各元件;
图2A—2F表示挤压制成的气体发生剂料和点火条的各种形状;
图3为组装结构的纵向剖面图。
图1以分解形式表示了组成本实用新型乘客侧气囊组件的各元件。主体为一反应罐,包括形成槽两侧的侧壁12、14。自两侧壁向内延伸部分16、18形成槽的底部。这些侧壁延伸部分与圆柱形点火罐20的径向相对侧成一体。值得注意的是反应罐10的所有上述元件联接成单个零件,最好挤压制成并切至要求的长度。所使用的材料可为例如铝。在位于槽内的点火罐20的顶部表面上钻或冲成许多通风孔22。这些通风孔22使得来自点火罐20内经激发的发生剂的气体能进入装在反应罐10内的气囊口。由于气囊本身不构成本实用新型的一部分,故未示出。
设置在点火罐20内的是一可以用例如线网形成的中空圆柱形过滤器24。封装在圆柱形过滤器24内的是一气体发生剂组件26。气体发生剂组件包括一圆柱形发生剂料28,发生剂料可以是单件的或如图所示的多体的28a、28b、28c。在发生剂料各空腔内置有多个点火器条30。发生剂料28和条形点火器30均可以挤压制成。
图示说明作为多个挤压件的发生剂料28,原因是为了说明一种“调谐”装料。在这种装料中,有一段例如中间部分28b可以是惰性的。其结果,不需改变反应罐的尺寸即可减少气体生成量。
对于发生剂料希望能燃烧一段给定时限的时间并且燃尽后很少或不留尾渣。但是,对气体向外垂直于料中心跑到点火罐20外周缘上的空气口是很重要的。为了实现这些目的可以采用各种不同的能使气体穿过发生剂装料外表面排出的颗粒形状。这些形状也能控制在燃烧初始阶段所希望的燃烧气体的产生。最理想的是在第一个15毫秒燃烧期间得到低气体生成量,随后是最高气体生成量,直至燃尽。气体发生剂和条形点火器的各种不同横截面形状如图2A—2F所示。在每一示例中,发生剂料大体上呈圆形的横截面且部分地被一些沿其长度延伸的径向沟槽分割。这些沟槽自径向表面向内延伸并终止在一小于所述圆柱半径的深度上。一般为圆柱形的发生剂料28确定了各种不同形状的径向开口32。而相应形状的条形点火器30侧嵌入这些开口内。
点火器条30伸出发生剂料28外以围绕引发器41。可以使伸出端促燃以促进点火。引发器41会点燃突出的点火器条,点火器条会依次点燃发生剂。
发生剂料28为预先加载用以提供抵制冲撞、震动和热膨胀的缓冲。它还承接任何公差差异。一预载组件34设置在发生剂料28的一端。它可以包括例如一单式平垫圈36和杯形部38,其间有一指状弹簧垫圈40。这种组件有D.R.劳里森和J.L.罗尔斯顿在与此同时申请并转让给与本申请相同的受让人的共同待批的申请中有详细描述。该申请所揭示的内容在此引为参考。
发生剂料28的另一端紧靠一杯状件35,包含有一些倒刺37穿入过滤器24内。杯状件的底面有一供条形点火器30的端部穿过的中心孔39。
反应罐由在两端的端板42、44完成。常用型的端部基座46、48具有用螺钉旋紧于相应端板上的平板50并且包含有圆柱形套筒52以容纳气体发生剂组件26和过滤器24的端部。
相信本实用新型的众多优点对于那些在该技术领域中的熟练人员说是较明显的。同样明显对本实用新型还可以做一些不背离其精神和范围的变化和改进。因此上述描述仅为说明性而非限定性。本实用新型仅由所附权利要求书限定其保护范围。
Claims (12)
1.一种用于汽车乘员减震系统中的乘客侧气囊组件,包括一具有第一和第二端的槽形主体,连接于所述主体以形成一反应罐的第一和第二端板,一与所述罐的内部气流连通的点火室,一在所述点火室内部的气体发生剂,所述反应罐适合于封围一在点火时使之充满来自所述气体发生剂的气体的气囊,以及用来点燃所述气体发生剂的装置,其特征在于:
所述反应罐主体和所述点火室为一单件。
2.如权利要求1所述的乘客侧气囊组件,其特征在于所述主体和点火室挤压成一单件。
3.如权利要求1所述的乘客侧气囊组件,其特征在于所述气体发生剂包括一经挤压制成细长的发生剂料,该发生剂料具有一大体上呈圆形的横截面且部分地被一些沿其长度延伸的径向沟槽分割。
4.如权利要求3所述的乘客侧气囊组件,其特征在于所述发生剂料大体上为圆柱形并且所述那些沟槽自径向表面向内延伸并终止在一小于所述圆柱半径的深度上。
5.如权利要求3所述的乘客侧气囊组件,其特征在于点火器条封装在多个所述径向沟槽内。
6.如权利要求5所述的乘客侧气囊组件,其特征在于每一所述点火器条具有一与其相关联的沟槽形状大体上一致的横截面形状。
7.如权利要求6所述的乘客侧气囊组件,其特征在于所述点火器条为挤压制成的。
8.一种用在汽车乘员减震系统中的气体发生剂料,其特征在于一挤压制成的发生剂料具有一大体上呈圆柱形的表面和一大体上圆形的横截面并部分地被一些沿其长度方向延伸的径向沟槽分割,分割深度至少为所述横截面半径的一半。
9.如权利要求8所述的气体发生剂料,其特征在于所述发生剂料大体上为圆柱形而所述那些沟槽自所述圆柱表面向内延伸并终止在一小于所述圆柱半径的深度上。
10.一种用在汽车乘员减震系统中的气体发生剂料,其特征在于
一经挤压制成的发生剂料,具有一大体上呈圆形的横截面并部分地被一些沿其长度方向延伸径向沟槽分割;
点火器条封装在多个所述径向沟槽内。
11.如权利要求10所述的气体发生剂料,其特征在于所述点火器条具有与其相联系的沟槽的形状大体一致的横截面形状。
12.如权利要求11所述的气体发生剂料,其特征在于所述点火器条为挤压制成的。
