9. The box opener of claim 4 further comprising a third sensing element disposed on said pneumatic member for sensing the clamped and unclamped state of said mechanical clamp arm and feeding back to a controller of said box opener.

A foundry line comprising a line table, characterized by further comprising a box opening and closing machine according to any one of claims 1 to 9, on which a flask is arranged that moves with the line table, the flask being subjected to a box opening and/or closing operation at the box opening and closing machine.
