Detailed Description
In the following description, numerous details are provided to provide a thorough understanding of the present invention. One skilled in the art, however, will understand that the following description merely illustrates preferred embodiments of the invention and that the invention may be practiced without one or more of these details. In addition, some technical features that are well known in the art are not described in detail in order to avoid obscuring the present invention.
According to one aspect of the present invention, a universal joint assembly 100 is provided. It should be noted that the universal joint assembly can be applied to a mobile phone holder, a shower head or a microphone holder and other devices which need to rotate in the using process. The embodiment shown in fig. 1-6 is a faucet water purifier having the universal joint assembly. The universal joint assembly will be described in detail below, also in the embodiment shown in fig. 1-6.
Gimbal assembly 100 may include a body 110, a mount 120, a gimbal 130, and a protective cover 140.
The body 110 may be provided with a recess 114. The recess 114 may be a structure that is one-way open and has an accommodation space inside. Recess 114 may provide space for placement of gimbal 130 and/or mount 120.
A mount 120 may be disposed within recess 114. The mount 120 may include a mount body 121. The holder body 121 may be connected to the body 110. The seat body 121 may be spaced apart from and form a gap with the inner sidewall 1143 of the recess 114. The mounting seat 120 may be connected with the main body 110 through a seat body 121 in the recess 114. The connection between the base 121 and the main body 110 can be welding, clamping, screwing, or other various connection methods. The gap formed by the seat body 121 and the recess 114 at a certain interval can provide an operation space for disassembly and assembly, so that a user can insert a hand or a tool into the gap to operate the seat body 121 when the user needs to disassemble and assembly.
One end of the universal joint 130 may be provided with a rotatable ball 131. The rotatable ball 131 is movably connected to the seat body 121. For example, the seat body 121 may have a ring-shaped structure with a certain thickness, a cylindrical structure with an inward flange, or other structures. The base body 121 can serve as a support for the universal joint 130 to be connected to the main body 110, i.e., the universal joint 130 can be connected to the base body 121 to be connected to the main body 110. In some embodiments, the universal joint 130 may be entirely inside the seat body 121, or a portion of the universal joint may be inside the seat body 121, and those skilled in the art may reasonably select the universal joint according to the use environment, and the details are not repeated. The connection between the rotatable ball 131 and the seat 121 can be a snap connection or other various types. The movable connection means that the rotatable ball 131 can still rotate in all directions after being connected with the base body 121. In some embodiments, the base 121 can be a cylindrical structure with an inwardly flanged top edge. The diameter of the top circular hole of the seat body 121 is slightly smaller than that of the rotatable ball 131, so that the rotatable ball 131 and the seat body 121 can adopt interference fit. During the interference fit installation, the rotatable ball 131 is pressed into the circular hole at the top of the seat body 121, so that the rotatable ball 131 can rotate universally in the space inside the seat body 121 without being separated from the seat body 121. Illustratively, the other end of the universal joint 130 may be connected to a device requiring universal rotation, and in embodiments where the universal joint assembly 100 is applied to a faucet water purifier 10, the other end of the universal joint 130 may be connected to a faucet.
The protective cover 140 may cover the gap. In some embodiments, the protective cover 140 can be tucked into the gap to cover the gap. In other embodiments, the protective cover 140 may also be coupled to the body 110 and/or the mount 120 by a snap-fit connection provided in the gap. The protective cover 140 can completely cover the mounting seat 120 and the gap, so that the safety and stability of the whole component can be protected, and the loosening and even falling of the universal joint assembly 100 caused by the mistaken touch of a user can be reduced. The protective cover 140 may also function as a decorative cover. By providing a pattern or other various forms of decorative design on the outer side of the protective cover 140, the integral member is more attractive and practical.
Therefore, the universal joint assembly 100 according to the embodiment of the present invention can cover the gap between the main body 110 and the mounting seat 120 with the protective cover 140. The gap provides an operation space for the user to assemble and disassemble the universal joint assembly 100, and the protection cover 140 is additionally arranged in the operation space, so that the safety and the stability of the whole component in the using process can be improved. Therefore, when the user uses the universal joint assembly 100, the universal joint 130 and the main body 110 are prevented from loosening or even falling off due to misoperation of the mounting base 120, and safety is improved. In addition, the protection cover 140 can also be used as a decoration cover, so that the appearance of the whole component is more attractive.
Illustratively, the holder body 121 may be screwed or screwed with the body 110. The connection between the seat body 121 and the main body 110 is in a threaded connection or a screwing connection mode, so that the seat body 121 and the main body 110 are relatively fixed and cannot move relatively, the stability of the overall structure of the universal joint assembly 100 is improved, and in addition, the connection mode is simple in structure and easy to realize.
For example, an outer side wall of the holder body 121 may be provided with an external thread. A first annular wall 111 may be provided on the body 110 and within the recess 114. The first annular wall 111 may be internally threaded on an inner side thereof. The external thread may be connected with the internal thread. Typically, a seal is disposed between the seat body 121 and the rotatable ball 131. Damping force can be generated between the sealing element and the rotatable ball head 131, so that the rotatable ball head 131 can stay at any angle, and the use is convenient for users. Referring to fig. 5-6, in the universal joint assembly 100 with this arrangement, the sealing element can be installed between the seat body 121 and the rotatable ball 131 first, and the external thread on the outer sidewall of the seat body 121 does not affect the installation of the sealing element. The user can screw the holder body 121 with the rotatable ball 131 directly onto the internal thread on the inner side of the first annular wall 111 to achieve a quick connection. And if conversely, what set up on the lateral wall of pedestal 121 is the internal thread, and sets up the external screw thread on the first rampart 111, just need reserve the space during the installation between the internal thread that sets up on the lateral wall of sealing member and pedestal 121, lets first rampart 111 can insert, can make the installation very loaded down with trivial details trouble of doing so. The outer side wall of the seat body 121 is provided with an external thread, and the inner side surface of the first annular wall 111 is provided with an internal thread, so that the universal joint assembly 100 can be mounted more conveniently and simply, and the implementation is facilitated.
For example, the holder body 121 may be provided with a mounting through hole 1211. The mounting through-hole 1211 may have an outer end 1212 facing an outer side of the recess 114. A limiting flange 1213 may be provided on an inner circumferential wall of the outer end 1212 such that the rotatable bulb 131 is limited within the mounting through-hole 1211. The other end of the universal joint 130 may be located beyond the outer end 1212. A first seal 150 may be interposed between the inner sidewall 1143 of the mounting through-hole 1211 and the rotatable ball 131. The spacing flange 1213 may be annular, toothed or in a variety of other forms. The retaining flange 1213 may have an interference fit with the rotatable ball 131 to retain the rotatable ball 131 within the mounting through-hole 1211. Obviously, the form of the limiting flange 1213 limiting the rotatable ball 131 in the mounting through hole 1211 can be various, and the interference fit is only one of them and is not particularly limited. The first seal 150 may be a spherical seal, a cylindrical seal, or various other types. After the rotatable ball 131 is limited in the installation through hole 1211, the first sealing element 150 can improve the damping force between the rotatable ball 131 and the seat body 121, so that the rotatable ball 131 can be stopped at any position in the seat body 121, and the use requirement of the user can be met.
Illustratively, in an embodiment of the universal joint assembly 100 applied to a faucet water purifier 10 or a shower head, etc., a water discharge port 1141 may be provided on a bottom wall of the recess 114. The first annular wall 111 may surround the water discharge port 1141. The inner side of the first annular wall 111 may be provided with a second seal 160 surrounding the water gap 1141. The second seal 160 may be clamped between the holder body 121 and the bottom wall of the recess 114. The second sealing member 160 may be in the form of a circular ring-shaped sealing pad with a certain thickness, or in other forms, where the circular ring-shaped sealing pad with a certain thickness can surround the water passing opening 1141 on the bottom wall of the recess 114. The second seal 160 may improve the waterproof sealing properties of the universal joint assembly 100.
Illustratively, the gap may be in a ring shape surrounding the holder body 121. The gap formed between the seat body 121 and the recess 114 is annular, so that the seat body 121 can provide an operating space in any direction of the horizontal plane, thereby facilitating the operation of a user, and the arrangement is more attractive.
Illustratively, the mount 120 can also include a first flange 122 within the gap and can be connected to the seat body 121. The first flange 122 may be provided with a tool fitting 1221 for fitting with an installation tool. The first flange 122 may be spaced from the mouth of the recess 114. The first flange 122 may be in the form of a ring or other variety of forms that surround the mount 120. The tool-adapting portion 1221 may be a mounting hole or other form of structure that is adapted to an installation tool. For example, the tool fitting 1221 may be a plurality of circular holes with internal threads, and in this case, the corresponding positions on the protection cover 140 may be provided with circular holes to screw the mounting base 120 and the protection cover 140. The first flange 122 is provided to facilitate and simplify the connection between the mounting base 120 and the protection cover 140.
Illustratively, the outer end of the holder body 121 facing the outside of the recess 114 is provided with an annular flange 1215 extending radially outward. The annular flange 1215 may be flush with the surface of the body 110. The outer periphery of annular flange 1215 is provided with a second annular wall 1216 extending inwardly toward recess 114. The first flange 122 may be connected to the second annular wall 1216. In the embodiment shown in fig. 5-6, the second annular wall 1216 is spaced apart from the outer sidewall of the seat body 121 and extends in the axial direction of the seat body 121, being connected at the top of the second annular wall 1216 and the seat body 121 by an annular flange 1215. Wherein the second annular wall 1216 may surround the outer sidewall of the holder body 121 at the inner side thereof, thereby protecting the outer sidewall of the holder body 121. In the embodiment of being provided with the external screw thread on the lateral wall of the pedestal 121, the first annular wall 111 can stretch into between the lateral wall of the pedestal 121 and the second annular wall 1216, and through threaded connection, the second annular wall 1216 can protect the external screw thread that sets up on the lateral wall of the pedestal 121, makes this external screw thread avoid colliding with.
Illustratively, the boss 1217 may be provided on an outer sidewall of the second annular wall 1216. The protective cover 140 may rest on the boss 1217. As shown in fig. 5-6, the bosses 1217 may extend outwardly from an outer sidewall of the second annular wall 1216. The boss 1217 may be stepped with the outer sidewall of the second annular wall 1216 and the top surface of the annular flange 1215. The boss 1217 may limit the protective cover 140 in a radial direction. Thus, after the protective cover 140 is mounted on the mounting seat 120, the boss 1217 can prevent the protective cover 140 from shaking on the mounting seat 120, and further prevent the protective cover 140 from being mistakenly touched by a user, which can cause the protective cover 140 to fall off from the seat body 121.
For example, a second flange 1142 may be disposed on a sidewall of the recess 114. The first flange 122 may be snapped onto the second flange 1142. In this way, the stability of the mounting seat 120 mounted in the recess 114 may be improved.
Illustratively, the first flange 122 may be annular. The annular first flange 122 provides more complete protection for the structures of the components in the universal joint assembly 100, and improves the stability of the overall structure of the universal joint assembly 100.
Illustratively, the first flange 122 may abut an inner side wall 1143 of the recess 114. The outer side wall of the first flange 122 may abut against the inner side wall 1143 of the recessed portion 114, so that, in the radial direction of the mount base 120, the inner side wall 1143 of the recessed portion 114 may limit the mount base 120, and stability of the mount base 120 in the radial direction is improved. In the threaded embodiment, the first flange 122 abuts against the inner side wall 1143 of the recess 114, which also reduces the bending moment applied to the threads and reduces the possibility of damage to the threads.
Illustratively, the tool adaptation portion 1221 is a through hole. Through-hole form's instrument adaptation portion 1221 for mount pad 120 can pass through joint, screw connection or other multiform be connected with visor 140, and this kind of joint strength is good, simple structure, and handsome in appearance has promoted user's use and has experienced.
For example, a snap-fit portion 141 may be provided on an inner surface of the protective cover 140, and the snap-fit portion 141 may be connected with the tool fitting portion 1221. The protective cover 140 is connected to the mounting base 120 in a snap-fit manner, which is convenient for installation and not easy to fall off, thereby improving the structural stability of the universal joint assembly 100 and prolonging the service life of the faucet water purifier 10.
Illustratively, the body 110 may include a housing 112 and a partition 113 disposed within the housing 112. The housing 112 may be provided with an opening. The sidewall of the opening may surround the partition 113 to form a recess 114. Wherein the mount 120 may be connected to the partition 113. The housing 112 may be clamped by the mounting seat 120 and the separating seat 113. The connection mode that the housing 112 is clamped and fixed by the mounting seat 120 and the separating seat 113 is simple and easy to implement, and the structure of the universal joint assembly 100 can be more stable.
Illustratively, the universal joint 130 may have a water flow passage 132 extending from one end to the other. In the embodiment where the universal joint 130 is applied to the faucet water purifier 10, the water flow channel 132 provided on the universal joint 130 can satisfy the requirement that the universal joint assembly 100 can be used for water, so that the universal joint assembly 100 can be applied to the faucet water purifier 10.
