Detailed Description
Specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, but it should be understood that the drawings are only for purposes of illustrating the utility model and are not to be construed as limiting the utility model.
Fig. 1 schematically shows a clamping arrangement for clamping a portable device according to the utility model in a perspective view. As shown in fig. 1, a holding device 1 for holding a portable device according to the present invention generally includes a flat plate-like body portion 3. Of course, depending on the shape of the portable device, the main body may be formed into a curved shape with a curvature instead of a flat plate shape. The clamping device 1 further comprises resilient jaws 5 extending substantially perpendicularly to the body part 3 from both sides thereof, the resilient jaws 5 preferably being arranged in pairs and facing each other. Although the resilient jaws may be formed separately from the body portion and subsequently mounted to the body portion, the resilient jaws are preferably formed integrally with the body portion. A smooth rounded transition 7 is preferably formed between the resilient jaw 5 and the body portion 3. A flange 9 for holding the portable device may be formed at one end of the body portion 3. A mounting seat 11 is formed on a back surface of the body 3 opposite to a front surface on which the elastic claw 5 is formed. The clamping device 1 can be mounted to a support (not shown) or other object by means of the mounting 11.
Fig. 2 is an enlarged view of a portion of fig. 1, schematically showing one of the resilient jaws of the clamping device to clearly show the configuration of the catch on the resilient jaw. Fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view through line 3-3 in fig. 2. As shown in fig. 2 and 3, a catching place 13 is provided on an inner side surface 5a of an inward side of each of the elastic claws 5, each catching place 13 including a groove 15 extending in an insertion direction a of the portable device, and an end 15a of the groove 15 in the insertion direction a of the portable device is closed so as to support the portable device. The starting end 15b of the recess 15 in the insertion direction a of the portable device is open, but is formed with a boss 17 higher than the bottom surface 15c of the recess 15 and lower than the inner side surface 5a of the elastic claw 5. The boss 17 includes a top face 17a higher than the bottom face 15c of the recess 15 but lower than the inner side face 5a of the elastic claw 5, a front side face 17b inclined with respect to the top face 17a against the insertion direction a of the portable device, and a rear side face 17c opposite to the front side face 17b and inclined with respect to the top face 17 a. In this way, the boss 17 is formed as a substantially trapezoidal-shaped boss. Preferably, the angle of inclination of the front side 17b of the boss 17 is smaller than the angle of inclination of the rear side 17c of the boss 17, so that the front side 17b is relatively gentle and the rear side 17c is relatively steep, which makes it easy for the portable device to be inserted into the clamping device and not easily to slide out of the clamping device.
Although in the preferred embodiment two pairs of resilient jaws 5 each formed with a catch 13 are shown extending generally perpendicularly from the body portion 3, it will be appreciated that only one pair of resilient jaws 5 may extend generally perpendicularly from the body portion 3, or more pairs of resilient jaws 5 may extend generally perpendicularly from the body portion 3, for example three pairs of resilient jaws 5 extending generally perpendicularly from the body portion 3. Furthermore, the resilient jaws 5 may also be provided without pairs, for example 2 resilient jaws 5 on one side of the body 3 and 3 resilient jaws 5 on the other side of the body 3. In the case where a plurality of elastic jaws 5 extend substantially perpendicularly from the body portion 3 on each side of the body portion 3, the height of the boss 17 on the latter elastic jaw 5 is greater than the height of the boss 17 on the former elastic jaw 5 on the same side of the body portion 3 in the insertion direction a of the portable device. For example, in the embodiment shown in fig. 1, two bosses 17 are shown, the left boss 17 being lower and the right boss 17 being higher, i.e., the left boss 17 having a lower height than the right boss 17. The height difference not only facilitates the insertion and the extraction of the portable equipment, but also can further improve the clamping stability of the portable equipment and the service life of the clamping device.
The clamping device for clamping a portable device according to the utility model is preferably injection-molded from plastic, the individual spring jaws formed as cantilevers providing mutually independent snap positions, so that the respective spring deformations are not influenced by one another.
Furthermore, where 2 or more than 2 resilient jaws 5 are provided on each side of body portion 3, although each resilient jaw 5 may include a projection 17 on the catch, it will be appreciated that only one or some of the catches include a projection 17 formed at the beginning 15b of recess 15, while the other catches do not have a projection 17 formed at the beginning 15b of recess 15, as shown in fig. 4.
Fig. 5 schematically shows a housing of a portable device in a perspective view. In the case of an electronic thermometer, as shown in fig. 5, two protrusions 25 are formed on two opposite side walls 23 (the other side wall is not visible in fig. 5) of a housing 21 (not all components of the electronic thermometer are shown in fig. 5) of a portable device (i.e., the electronic thermometer), respectively, so that the main body portion of the electronic thermometer can be fixed to the holding fixture 1 by the snap-fit engagement of the protrusions 25 with the catches 13 on the corresponding elastic jaws 5, as shown in fig. 6. For a portable device case having a relatively large size with wide side walls, two projections 25 may be formed on two opposite side walls thereof near the rear surface, while two additional projections 27 may be formed on two opposite side walls thereof near the front surface. In this way, the housing 21 of the portable device can be inserted into the holding device with its rear surface close to the holding device, or with its front surface close to the holding device, so that it is convenient for the user to operate with either the left or right hand as desired.
In order to facilitate the projection 25 on the housing 21 of the portable device to be guided and inserted into the groove 15 of the catch 13, the starting end 15b of each groove 15 may be formed in a horn shape that decreases in size in a direction toward the tip end 15 a. Also, in order to facilitate the downward insertion of the housing 21 of the portable device, the distal end 15a of each groove 15 is also preferably formed as an inclined surface. In addition, in order to facilitate insertion and extraction of the case 21 of the portable device into and from the holding device, both ends of the protruding portion 25 on the case 21 of the portable device may be formed as inclined surfaces.
While the utility model has been described in detail in connection with the preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that such detail is solely for that purpose and that no limitation of the utility model is thereby intended. The scope of the utility model is determined by the claims.
