Description

Sealing structure for vehicle window glass
Technical Field
The utility model relates to the field of automobile manufacturing, in particular to a hidden sealing structure for window glass on an automobile door.
Background
As shown in fig. 1, a conventional automobile door is sealed with a weather strip for a window glass 2. The weather strip is annular and provided along the window sash, and includes a weather strip body 4, and an outer sealing lip 3 and an inner sealing lip 1 which are connected to the weather strip body 4, respectively (the outer sealing lip 3 and the inner sealing lip 1 are shown in a free state when not pressurized). The sealing strip body 4 is generally fixedly installed in the window frame of the vehicle window, and the inner sealing lip 1 and the outer sealing lip 3 connected with the sealing strip body 4 are respectively arranged at the inner side and the outer side of the window glass 2 and are in pressing contact with the inner side and the outer side of the window glass 2. The outer sealing lip 3 is often a visible structure protruding in the direction of the inside of the window frame when viewed from the outside of the door. When the outer sealing lip 3 is thus fitted between the trim panel or sheet metal part 5 of the vehicle door located around the window frame, there is a visible step at the joint and the following problems arise:
(1) the visible area of the outer sealing lip is wider, a step structure and a color area different from the decorative plate or the sheet metal part are added between the window glass and the decorative plate or the sheet metal part on the vehicle door, and the aesthetic feeling of a user is reduced;
(2) because the outer sealing lip edge is visible, in the turning area of the outer sealing lip edge (namely the corner of the window frame), because the sealing strip is generally molded by adopting an elastomer material, the appearance problems of material joint marks, rough edges, poor steps, inconsistent colors and the like often exist;
(3) the visual outer sealing lip edge is made of an elastomer material, and the appearance problems of color change, whitening and the like can be caused after illumination aging;
(4) when the visible outer sealing lip is assembled with a decorative plate or a sheet metal part, the visible outer sealing lip is prone to generating defects such as gaps (cracks) or uneven matching, and the visible outer sealing lip can also generate problems such as pressing deformation or scratching.

Further, the first outer sealing lip is configured to be secured with its outer side to the outer sidewall of the channel.
Furthermore, the section of the second outer sealing lip edge is strip-shaped, one strip-shaped end of the second outer sealing lip edge is connected with the inner side face of the first outer sealing lip edge, and the other strip-shaped end of the second outer sealing lip edge is a free end.
Further, the free, strip-shaped end of the second outer sealing lip projects a greater height relative to the outer channel sidewall than the flange projects relative to the outer channel sidewall.
Further, the second outer sealing lip is configured to be disposed obliquely toward the groove-shaped bottom edge of the seal strip body.
Furthermore, an avoiding groove used for accommodating the second outer sealing lip edge is formed in the inner wall of the groove-shaped outer side edge of the sealing strip body.
Further, the protruding height of the flange with respect to the outer side wall of the guide groove is flush with the protruding height of the inner wall of the groove-shaped outer side of the weather strip body with respect to the outer side wall of the guide groove.
Further, the flange, the second outer sealing lip and the inner wall surface of the groove-shaped outer side of the sealing strip body are respectively provided with a wear-resistant material layer.
Further, the sealing strip is an elastic body.

Detailed Description
In order to better understand the technical solution of the present invention, the following detailed description is given by way of specific examples.
Referring to fig. 2-3, the outline structures of two types of weather strips applied to different process doors are shown. Fig. 2 is a configuration structure of a weather strip applied to a door frame (window frame) of a stamped-out type vehicle door, and fig. 3 is a configuration structure of a weather strip applied to a door frame of a roll-in type vehicle door. It can be seen that the two sealing strips in fig. 2 and 3 have a top strip 6 and two vertical strips 7 and 8 connected to both ends of the top strip 6, and surround the top and two side edges of the window frame to cooperate with the edge of the window glass embedded therein to seal the window glass, although there is a difference in profile structure depending on the type of door processing.
Referring to fig. 4, a cross-sectional view (a cross-sectional view of a normal position of a window frame of an automobile) of a sealing structure applied to a door frame of a roll-type door according to the present invention is shown. The sealing structure for the vehicle window glass can comprise a sealing strip matched with a vehicle window frame. Wherein, generally, a window frame area (the inner side of the window frame can be higher than the outer side) of the window is formed by adopting a decorative plate and/or a sheet metal cover plate 9, and a guide groove 14 is formed on the inner side surface of the window frame of the window for embedding a sealing strip.
As shown in fig. 4, the sealing tape is disposed around the inside of the window sash (e.g., the top and both side edges of the window sash). The sealing tape includes a sealing tape body 18 having a groove-shaped cross section, and an outer sealing lip 12 connected to an upper end of a groove-shaped outer side (a groove side located outside the glass, shown as a groove side located above) of the sealing tape body 18, and may further include an inner sealing lip 16 connected to an inner wall of a groove-shaped inner side (a groove side located inside the glass, shown as a groove side located below) of the sealing tape body 18.
Wherein the weatherstrip body 18 is received in a channel 14 (which may be formed by moulding of a trim panel and/or sheet metal part 9) on the inside of the window frame and is secured to the inner wall of the channel 14 by the outer surface (outer wall) of the weatherstrip body 18.
The outer sealing lip 12 comprises a first outer sealing lip 11 and a second outer sealing lip 10. The first outer sealing lip 11 is connected at one end thereof to one end of the sealing strip body 18 and is accommodated in the guide groove 14 together with the sealing strip body 18; the top surface (end surface at one end remote from the weather strip body 18) of the first outer sealing lip 11 is not higher than the end surface of the guide groove 14 (i.e., the outer end surface 13 of the window frame surrounded by the trim panel and/or the sheet metal member 9), so that the outer sealing lip 12 becomes an invisible (or inconspicuous) hidden seal when viewed from the outside of the vehicle door. A second outer sealing lip 10 is provided on the inner side (the side facing the interior of the guide channel 14) of the first outer sealing lip 11, and the second outer sealing lip 10 is likewise accommodated in the guide channel 14. The second outer sealing lip 10 is used for forming a press fit with the outer side surface of the window glass 15 to realize sealing, namely, the second outer sealing lip 10 is pressed to deform to form sealing with the outer side surface of the window glass 15.
The inner sealing lip 16 and the outer sealing lip 12 are oppositely arranged in the guide groove 14, and the edge of the window glass 15 is inserted between the inner sealing lip 16 and the outer sealing lip 12, so that the inner sealing lip 16 and the outer sealing lip 12 are correspondingly bent and deformed under pressure, and a bidirectional seal formed by the inner side and the outer side of the window glass 15 to the window glass 15 is formed.
In an embodiment, when the sealing tape of fig. 4 is applied to the top tape position (refer to fig. 2) of the window, a buffer tape 17 may be further added to the groove-shaped bottom surface of the sealing tape body 18 for buffering the impact force when the window glass 15 is closed.
Referring to fig. 5, a cross-sectional view of another sealing structure of the present invention applied to a door frame of a roll-in type vehicle door is shown. As shown in fig. 5, the difference from the configuration of the outer sealing lip 12 in fig. 4 is that a flange 19 is further provided on the inner side of the first outer sealing lip 11. The flange 19, the first outer sealing lip 11 and the second outer sealing lip 10 are all accommodated in the guide groove 14, and the flange 19 and the second outer sealing lip 10 are sequentially arranged on the inner side surface of the first outer sealing lip 11 from the top surface of the first outer sealing lip 11 to the inner direction (to the bottom surface of the guide groove 14). The flange 19 and the second outer sealing lip 10 are intended to form a press-fit with the outer side of the window pane 15, respectively, i.e. to form a double (double) seal on the outer side of the window pane 15.
In one embodiment, the first outer sealing lip 11 is fixedly attached with its outer side surface (the side surface facing the inner wall of the channel 14 or the outer side of the door) to the outer side wall of the channel 14 (the side wall of the channel 14 located outside the glass 15), as shown in fig. 4 to 6.
Referring to fig. 6, another sealing structure for a door frame of a stamped-out vehicle door according to the present invention is shown in cross-section. As shown in fig. 6, the second outer sealing lip 10 may have a bar shape in cross section, one end of the bar shape being connected to the inner side surface of the first outer sealing lip 11, and the other end of the bar shape being a free end.
In one embodiment, the flange 19 is integrally joined to the inner side of the first outer sealing lip 11 and forms a projecting state on the inner side of the first outer sealing lip 11.
In one embodiment, the end of the strip-shaped free end of the second outer sealing lip 10 protrudes from the outer side wall of the channel 14 to a greater height than the protrusion of the flange 19 from the outer side wall of the channel 14, i.e., the end of the strip-shaped free end of the second outer sealing lip 10 is closer to the inner side wall of the channel 14 (the one side wall of the channel 14 inside the glass 15) than the protrusion of the flange 19.
In one embodiment, the second outer sealing lip 10 is disposed obliquely toward the groove-shaped bottom edge of the weather strip body 18 so that the second outer sealing lip 10 can be laid down toward the weather strip body 18 when pressed by the glass 15. Further, an avoiding groove 21 for accommodating the second outer sealing lip 10 when the second outer sealing lip is fallen down is formed on the inner wall of the groove-shaped outer side of the sealing strip body 18 at a corresponding position.
In one embodiment, the protrusion height of the flange 19 with respect to the outer side wall of the channel 14 is flush with the protrusion height of the inner wall of the groove-shaped outer side of the weather strip body 18 with respect to the outer side wall of the channel 14, i.e., the flange 19 and the inner wall of the outer side of the weather strip body 18 are located on the same horizontal plane as shown in fig. 6. In this way, a multi-point (multi-layer or multi-layer) press-fit between the outer side surface of the window glass 15 can be formed by the flange 19 on the first outer sealing lip 11, the swingable (falling) second outer sealing lip 10, and the inner wall surface of the outer side of the weather strip body 18.
Further, the sealing strip may be made of an elastomer.
In one embodiment, the inner wall surfaces of the flange 19, the second outer sealing lip 10 and the channel-shaped outer side of the seal strip body 18 are each provided with a layer 20 of an abrasion resistant material. The layer of wear resistant material 20 may be flocked, sprayed, or co-extruded with the slip material on the surface of the flange 19, the second outer sealing lip 10, and the inner wall surface of the channel-shaped outer side of the seal strip body 18.
Referring to fig. 7, a partial enlarged view of the area a of the dashed line frame a in fig. 6 is shown, and a position change state of the second outer sealing lip 10 when pressed is shown. As shown in fig. 7, in the sealing structure arrangement of the present invention, the depth a of the avoiding groove 21 needs to be greater than the strip width b of the second outer sealing lip 10, that is, the accommodating space after the second outer sealing lip 10 is deformed in the width direction when entering the avoiding groove 21 needs to be ensured, and the width of the avoiding groove 21 needs to be greater than the strip length of the second outer sealing lip 10, that is, the accommodating space after the second outer sealing lip 10 is deformed in the length direction when entering the avoiding groove 21 needs to be ensured to have a size c.
It should be understood by those skilled in the art that the above embodiments are only for illustrating the present invention and are not to be used as a limitation of the present invention, and that the changes and modifications of the above embodiments are within the scope of the claims of the present invention as long as they are within the spirit and scope of the present invention.
