Detailed Description
The preferred embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings so that the objects, features and advantages of the invention can be more clearly understood. It should be understood that "first" and "second" herein may be interchanged without affecting the description of the embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows a quick release clamp 1 of a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 2 and 3 show exploded perspective views of the quick release clamp of the preferred embodiment from different perspectives. The quick release clip 1 is preferably made of metal. The quick release clip 1 comprises a first half 10 and a second half 20, the first half 10 comprising a first mating portion 110, a first receiving portion 120 and a first fastening portion 130, the second half 20 comprising a second mating portion 210, a second receiving portion 220 and a second fastening portion 230. The first half 10 and the second half 20 are mated, in particular, the first half 10 and the second half 20 are configured such that the first mating portion 110 mates with the second receiving portion, and the second mating portion 210 mates with the first receiving portion, such that said first half 10 and second half 20 are movable relative to each other in only one direction. Thus, the combination of the first half 10 and the second half 20 forms a clip configuration that secures components such as tubing, wiring harnesses, and the like.
The first and second fastening portions 130 and 230 are configured to mate together when the quick release clip 1 is installed. Specifically, the first and second fastening portions 130, 230 each include fastener mounting holes 131, 231, the two fastener mounting holes 131, 231 being aligned when the quick release clip is installed to allow a fastener (not shown) to pass through the fastener mounting holes to secure the clip.
Preferably, the quick release clip 1 further includes a rubber pad 40, the rubber pad 40 being affixed, such as adhesively, to the inside of the quick release clip 1 such that the mounting components mounted through the quick release clip 1 are not susceptible to damage.
As shown, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the quick release clip 1 further includes a wedge pin 30, the wedge pin 30 having a base 310 and a wedge pin head 320. When the first mating part 110 is matched with the second receiving part 220 and the second mating part 210 is matched with the first receiving part 120, the first mating part 110 and the second mating part 210 together define the mounting groove 31. A wedge head 320 of the wedge 30 may be inserted into the mounting groove 31 such that the first half 10 and the second half 20 are fixed with respect to each other.
An exemplary mating configuration of the first half 10, second half 20 and wedge pin 30 of the quick release clip 1 of the present invention is shown.
In particular, the first mating portion 110 comprises a first tenon 111, the first receiving portion 120 comprises a first mortise 121 (visible in fig. 3), the second mating portion 210 comprises a second tenon 211, and the second receiving portion 220 comprises a second mortise 221 (visible in fig. 2), the mating of the first mating portion 110 with the second receiving portion 220 comprises the first tenon 111 fitting into the second mortise 221, and the mating of the second mating portion 210 with the first receiving portion 120 comprises the second tenon 211 fitting into the first mortise 121, in such a way that the first half 10 and the second half 20 are movable relative to each other only in one direction, i.e. only in engagement or disengagement along the depth direction of the mortise.
In the present embodiment, the first and second tenons 111 and 221 have matching rectangular shapes, and the second and first tenons 211 and 121 have matching rectangular shapes, but this is merely an example and not a limitation, and at least one set of the first and second tenons 111 and 221 and the second and first tenons 211 and 121 may have any other matching shapes.
Furthermore, although in the illustrated embodiment, the first mating portion 110 and the second receiving portion 220, and the second mating portion 210 and the first receiving portion 120 each employ a tenon-and-mortise mating form, this is merely an example and not a limitation, and the first mating portion 110 and the second receiving portion 220, and the second mating portion 210 and the first receiving portion 120 may employ other complementary-shaped mating forms, such as a female and male mating, as long as the first half portion 10 and the second half portion 20 can be restricted to move in only one direction relative to each other. Additionally, the first and second tenons 111 and 221, and the second and first tenons 211 and 121 may have more than one number.
Preferably, the first mating portion 110 includes a first half-groove 140, and the second mating portion 210 includes a second half-groove 240, and when the first mating portion 110 is matched with the second receiving portion 220 and the second mating portion 210 is matched with the first receiving portion 120, the first half-groove 140 and the second half-groove 240 together form the mounting groove 31. A wedge head 320 of the wedge 30 may be inserted into the mounting groove 31 such that the first half 10 and the second half 20 are fixed with respect to each other.
In this embodiment, the shape of mounting slot 31 is designed such that base 310 of cleat 30 also fits into mounting slot 31, and base 310 includes a removal hole 330 for removal of cleat 30 through the hole with a tool. In further embodiments, the shape of the mounting groove 31 may be designed such that only the wedge head 320 of the wedge 30 is inserted into the mounting groove 31.
In the drawings, the wedge head 320 is a rectangular wedge head, and the mounting groove 31 is a rectangular mounting groove, but the wedge head 320 and the mounting groove 31 may have any shape to be matched as long as the first fitting part 110 and the second receiving part 220, and the second fitting part 210 and the first receiving part 120 are prevented from being separated with respect to each other. Furthermore, there may be more than one wedge pin 30 and a corresponding number of mounting slots 31.
The quick release clamp of this embodiment is a P-type quick release clamp, but this is only an embodiment and not a limitation, and the utility model discloses a quick release clamp structure is applicable in other types of quick release clamps.
The utility model discloses a quick-release clamp has following advantage: after the clamp band is secured to the mounting area using the fasteners at initial assembly, no further manipulation of the fasteners is required. When the component to be fixed is disassembled, only the wedge nails need to be removed; and when the part is to be fixed in the installation, only need with half first and half second butt joint and with wedge nail insert the mounting groove can, easy operation is convenient, saves time and cost of labor.
While the structure and method of installation of the present invention has been described above in connection with preferred embodiments, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the above examples are intended to be illustrative only and are not intended to be limiting. Thus, modifications and variations may be made to the present invention which fall within the scope of the appended claims.
