Abstract

A fabric for a seat made of warp yarns and weft yarns woven in a four over four under pattern wherein the density of warp yarns is 33.8 yarns per unit length and the density of weft yarns is 7.1 yarns per unit length, both the warp and weft yarns being made of polyethylene.

Description

Fabric
Technical Field
The utility model relates to a fabric field. More particularly, the present invention relates to a fabric for a seat, such as a furniture seat.
Background
At present, most of fabrics used for automobile seats, furniture seats and the like are linen fabrics or cotton-linen fabrics. In daily use, when a person sits down, rises from, or moves on the seat, there is inevitably friction between the fabric on the surface of the seat and the person's clothing. Due to this friction, typical seat fabrics made of linen or cotton can easily deform and even tear. When the seat fabric is subjected to such wear for a long period of time, fuzz or fuzz is generated, which affects the aesthetic appearance of the fabric.
Thus, there is a need for a fabric for a seat that has high strength, tear resistance, and fuzz resistance.
SUMMERY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The embodiments described herein provide a fabric for furniture applications (e.g., chair or bench seats) that has high strength, resists tearing, extends service life, and reduces deformation and fuzzing over extended periods of time.
To achieve the above advantages, the technical solution adopted by the present disclosure provides a fabric made of warp yarns (warp) and weft yarns (weft) woven in a four over four under pattern, wherein the warp yarn density is 33.8 yarns/cm and the weft yarn density is 7.1 yarns/cm.
As a further improvement of the above technical solution, the surface density of the fabric is 200 g/m.
As a further improvement of the above technical solution, both the warp and weft yarns are made of 100% polypropylene.
The advantages of a fabric constructed according to the present disclosure are its higher abrasion resistance, higher tear resistance and better firmness compared to known fabrics constructed of similar quality yarns.
Drawings
Other embodiments of the invention will become apparent by reference to the detailed description when considered in conjunction with the drawings, wherein the elements are not drawn to scale in order to more clearly show the details, wherein like reference numerals denote the same elements throughout the several views, and wherein:
fig. 1 depicts a schematic structural view of a fabric according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Detailed Description
The following is a detailed description of one or more presently contemplated best modes of the invention. These descriptions are not intended to be construed in a limiting sense, but are merely illustrative of the present invention and provided for those skilled in the art to understand the advantages and configurations of the present invention. Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention as illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numbers will be used throughout the drawings to refer to the same or like parts.
The terms "warp" and "weft" are used herein as two basic components for a fabric to transform a thread or yarn into a fabric. For example, lengthwise or longitudinal warp yarns may be held in tension on a frame or loom while weft yarns in the cross direction are pulled over and run over the warp yarns.
Fig. 1 depicts an embodiment of a fabric 10 for a furniture application (e.g., a chair seat). The fabric is made from a weave pattern of warp yarns 12 and weft yarns 14. In an exemplary embodiment, the warp yarns 12 and weft yarns 14 are woven in a "four over four under" pattern, such as black and gray (where warp yarns 12 are black, weft yarns 14 are gray, or vice versa), or other different color combinations. The warp density is preferably 33.8 threads/cm and the weft density is preferably 7.1 threads/cm. The preferred embodiment of the fabric has a surface density of 200 grams per square meter.
Preferably, both warp yarns 12 and weft yarns 14 are made of 100% polypropylene yarns. The composition has the characteristics of high wear resistance, high tear resistance and high firmness. In a preferred embodiment, the warp yarns are 150 denier Draw Textured Yarns (DTY) and the weft yarns comprise 6.5N fancy yarns and 5.8N Polyester Snow (Polyester Snow).
The use of any and all examples, or exemplary language (e.g., "such as") provided herein, is intended merely to better illuminate embodiments of the disclosure and does not pose a limitation on the scope of the disclosure unless otherwise claimed. No language in the specification should be construed as indicating any non-claimed element as essential to the practice of the invention.
The foregoing description of the preferred embodiments of the invention has been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed. Obvious modifications or variations are possible in light of the above teachings. The embodiments were chosen and described in order to provide the best illustration of the principles of the invention and its practical application to thereby enable one of ordinary skill in the art to utilize the invention in various embodiments and with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated. All such modifications and variations are within the scope of the invention as determined by the appended claims when interpreted in accordance with the breadth to which they are fairly, legally and equitably entitled.
