As used in embodiments herein, an "electronic device" includes, but is not limited to, a device configured to receive/transmit communication signals via a wireline connection (e.g., via a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), a Digital cable, a direct cable connection, and/or another data connection/Network) and/or via a Wireless interface (e.g., for a cellular Network, a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), a Digital television Network such as a DVB-H Network, a satellite Network, an AM-FM broadcast transmitter, and/or another communication terminal). A communication terminal arranged to communicate over a wireless interface may be referred to as a "wireless communication terminal", a "wireless terminal" and/or an "electronic device". Electronic devices, examples of electronic devices include, but are not limited to, satellite or cellular telephones; personal Communications Systems (PCS) terminals that may combine cellular radiotelephones with data processing, facsimile, and data Communications capabilities; PDAs that may include radiotelephones, pagers, internet/intranet access, Web browsers, notepads, calendars, and/or Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers; and conventional laptop and/or palmtop receivers or other electronic devices that include a radiotelephone transceiver.
The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to the drawings in the embodiments of the present application.
Referring to fig. 1, an electronic device 500 is provided in the present embodiment, where the electronic device 500 may be, but is not limited to, a mobile phone and a tablet computer electronic device. The electronic device 500 of the present embodiment is described by taking a mobile phone as an example.
As shown in fig. 2, the electronic device 500 includes a housing assembly 100, a foldable screen 200, and an electronic assembly (not shown), wherein the electronic assembly is disposed in the housing assembly 100, and the foldable screen 200 is disposed on the housing assembly 100. The housing assembly 100 is used to carry the foldable screen 200 while shielding the electronic components. The foldable screen 200 can be folded or unfolded with the housing assembly 100, and when the housing assembly 100 and the foldable screen 200 are folded, the electronic device 500 has a relatively small volume and is convenient to store and carry. It will be appreciated that the foldable screen 200 is laid on one side of the housing assembly 100.
In this embodiment, the foldable screen 200 and the housing assembly 100 together form an external appearance surface of the electronic device 500, and the external appearance surface is an exposed surface of the electronic device 500. It will be appreciated that when the housing assembly 100 is folded, the foldable screen 200 is bent along with it and exposed to the outside. Therefore, the foldable screen 200 is easily scratched or damaged by an external force, which may affect the lifespan of the foldable screen 200. Therefore, the inventors have studied how to protect the foldable screen 200. Among them, the research of the inventor includes: the degree of damage to the different materials of foldable screen 200 when exposed; the degree of damage to different types of foldable screens 200 when exposed; the degree of damage to the foldable screen 200 when exposed when the foldable screen 200 is installed using different installation methods. After a lot of research and experiments, the inventor finds that the foldable screen 200 is a flexible display screen, and the material and type of the foldable screen 200 are not suitable for being greatly improved in order to achieve touch control, display and folding effects. Accordingly, the inventors provide a protective cover assembly 300 (shown in FIG. 1) for protecting a foldable screen 200, the protective cover assembly 300 being used to cover a surface of the foldable screen 200 to form a protective barrier to the foldable screen 200.
It should be noted that, when the electronic device 500 is folded or unfolded, the foldable screen 200 may be elastically deformed and generate a corresponding elastic deformation acting force when being bent, for example, when the foldable screen 200 is changed from the unfolded state to the folded state, the foldable screen 200 may be correspondingly extended and changed in the length direction under the elastic deformation acting force. It can be understood that, if the protective cover assembly 300 is fixedly connected to both sides of the housing assembly 10, the foldable screen 200 is affected by the elastic deformation acting force when being changed from the unfolded state to the folded state, the extending process of the foldable screen 200 is hindered, so that the folding or unfolding fluency of the foldable screen 200 is affected, and the service life of the foldable screen 200 is reduced due to the influence of the elastic deformation acting force for a long time.
In view of this, the protective cover assembly 300 provided by the present application includes a fixed portion 31, a movable portion 33 and a protective film 35, the fixed portion 31 is connected to the housing assembly 100, the movable portion 33 is movably connected to the fixed portion 31, and the movable portion 33 can slide relative to the foldable screen 200 and can be selectively connected to the housing assembly 100 or separated from the housing assembly 100. The protective film 35 is connected to the fixed part 31 and the movable part 33 and covers the foldable screen 200. When the electronic device 500 is folded or unfolded, the foldable screen 200 is bent and deformed, the movable portion 33 can slide relative to the foldable screen 200 according to the deformation of the foldable screen 200, or the connecting position of the movable portion 33 and the foldable screen 200 can be manually adjusted, so that the protective film 35 can adapt to the deformation of the foldable screen 200, thereby preventing the electronic device 500 from being blocked or interfered by the bending movement, and protecting the foldable screen 200. Thus, the foldable screen 200 can be effectively protected by the protective function of the protective cover assembly 300. It can be understood that the movable connection of the protective cover assembly 300 and the housing assembly 100 via the movable portion 33 avoids the obstruction or interference of the folding or unfolding process of the electronic device 500 due to the relatively fixed connection of the whole structure of the protective cover assembly 300 and the electronic device 500. It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present application, the protective cover assembly 300 is described and explained by taking the electronic device 500 as an exposed electronic device of the foldable screen 200 as an example, but the protective cover assembly 300 may also be applied to an electronic device concealed in the foldable screen 200, and therefore, the structures thereof are similar and are not described herein again.

The second housing 30 can be folded or unfolded relative to the first housing 10 through the rotating shaft mechanism 50, so that the housing assembly 100 drives the foldable screen 200 to fold or unfold, and when the housing assembly 100 and the foldable screen 200 are folded, the electronic device 500 has a relatively small volume and is convenient to store and carry.
the electronic assembly comprises a first electronic module, a second electronic module and a flexible circuit board, wherein the first electronic module is arranged in the first shell 10, the second electronic module is arranged in the second shell 30, and the flexible circuit board is electrically connected with the first electronic module and the second electronic module. It should be noted that the first electronic module can be a motherboard, a central processing unit provided with the motherboard, a memory, an antenna, a camera, a handset, and the like. The second electronic module can also be composed of a printed circuit board and a functional module arranged on the printed circuit board, the second electronic module is different from the first electronic module, and the second electronic module can comprise a battery, a connector, a fingerprint module and the like.
The foldable screen 200 is sequentially laid on the first housing 10, the rotating shaft mechanism 50 and the second housing 30, and in this embodiment, the foldable screen 200 is a flexible display screen. The foldable screen 200 is folded or unfolded as the first and second housings 10 and 30 are turned over. The foldable screen 200 is electrically connected to the electronic components, so that the electronic components can control the operation of the foldable screen 200, such as displaying or responding to touch commands.

The first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 are folded or unfolded relatively with the first casing 10 and the second casing 30, respectively. The bending display portion bends or flattens along with the folding or unfolding of the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203. It can be understood that the first display portion 201, the second display portion 203 and the bending display portion may be an integrated structure, so that the foldable screen 200 is a one-piece flexible display screen; alternatively, the bending display portion may be a flexible portion that can be bent, and the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 may be non-flexible portions, and the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 are relatively folded or unfolded by the bending display portion.
in the present embodiment, when the first casing 10 and the second casing 30 are stacked, the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 are separated from each other, so that the electronic device 500 has a structure in which the foldable screen 200 is exposed, and thus, a user can view display contents of the foldable screen 200 even when the electronic device 500 is folded, thereby improving convenience in use. It is understood that when the first casing 10 and the second casing 30 are stacked, the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 may be stacked relatively, and at this time, the electronic device 500 may be configured to be hidden in the foldable screen 200.
It should be understood that the names of the first display portion 201, the second display portion 203, and the bending display portion are provided for convenience of description only, and are not intended as structural limitations of the foldable screen. In practical application scenarios, the first display portion 201, the second display portion 203 and the bending display portion may not have obvious boundaries, or the foldable screen 200 may be presented in other dividing structures, for example, the foldable screen 200 includes the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 connected to the first display portion 201, and the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 can rotate relatively to fold or unfold.
Referring to fig. 2, the fixing portion 31 of the protective cover assembly 300 is connected to the first housing 10, and the fixing portion 31 is used to integrally connect the protective cover assembly 300 to the housing assembly 100. In this embodiment, the fixing portion 31 is connected to a side of the first casing 10 where the first display portion 201 is disposed, and covers the first display portion 201, so as to protect the first display portion 201. Further, the fixing portion 31 is provided with a first window 311 for exposing the first display portion 201, so that a user can perform a touch operation on the first display portion 201 through the first window 311, or view the display content of the first display portion 201 through the first window 311. It is understood that the fixing portion 31 may be connected to a frame or an edge of the first casing 10, and expose the first display portion 201 through the first window 311. The frame of the first casing 10 is an outer periphery (a portion generally called as a "side wall") of the first casing 10, and is substantially perpendicular to the first display portion 201, and the edge of the first casing 10 is a structure in which the outer periphery of the first casing 10 is substantially flush with a plane in which the first display portion 201 is located.
In this embodiment, the fixing portion 31 includes a first frame 313 and a combining portion 315 connected to the first frame 313. The first frame 313 is substantially shaped like a frame, and surrounds the first window 311. In this embodiment, the first frame 313 is disposed along an edge of the first casing 10 and connected to the first casing 10 through the connection portion 315, so that the fixing portion 31 and the electronic device 500 are relatively fixed. Further, the first frame 313 is a substantially rectangular frame structure, and may be overlapped with an edge of the first casing 10, or the first frame 313 may be sleeved outside the frame of the first casing 10 to ensure that the fixing portion 31 is fixed to the first casing 10 and the first display portion 201 is exposed through the first window 311. It should be noted that the first frame 313 may be made of Polycarbonate (PC), metal, or other materials capable of bearing a certain stress, so as to provide a stress buffer when the electronic device 500 falls, so as to protect the foldable screen 200.
In this embodiment, the bonding portion 315 is an adhesive layer disposed on the first frame 313, and the adhesive layer is disposed on a side of the first frame 313 facing the first casing 10 to fix the fixing portion 31 and the electronic device 500 relatively by the adhesive layer. It is understood that the combining portion 315 may be another connecting structure, for example, the combining portion 315 may be a hook structure disposed on the first frame 313, specifically, a hook-shaped protrusion may be disposed on a side of the first frame 313 facing the first casing 10, and the hook-shaped protrusion is engaged with the frame of the first casing 10, so that the fixing portion 31 and the electronic device 500 are relatively fixed. Or, the frame of the first casing 10 may have a groove matching with the hook-shaped protrusion, so that the hook-shaped protrusion is clamped in the groove.
referring to fig. 2, the movable portion 33 of the protective cover assembly 300 is detachably connected to the second housing 30 while being connected to the fixed portion 31. In this embodiment, the movable portion 33 is disposed on a side of the second casing 30 where the second display portion 203 is disposed, so as to cover the second display portion 203 and provide protection for the second display portion 203. Further, the movable portion 33 is provided with a second window 331 for exposing the second display portion 203, so that the user can perform a touch operation on the second display portion 203 through the second window 331 or view the display content of the second display portion 203 through the second window 331. It is understood that the movable portion 33 can be connected to a frame or an edge of the second casing 30, and the second display portion 203 is exposed through the second window 331. The frame of the second casing 30 is an outer periphery (a portion generally called as a "side wall") of the second casing 30, and is substantially perpendicular to the second display portion 203, and the edge of the second casing 30 is configured such that the outer periphery of the second casing 30 is flush with a plane in which the second display portion 203 is located.
In this embodiment, the second window 331 is communicated with the first window 311 to expose the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 together, so as to realize a large screen effect. Accordingly, the user can perform a touch operation on the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 through the first window 311 and the second window 331. It should be noted that the first window 311 and the second window 331 are configured to receive the protection film 35 to provide protection for the foldable screen 200.
Further, the movable portion 33 includes a second frame 333 and a suction member 335 connected to the second frame 333. The second frame 333 is substantially frame-shaped and surrounds the second window 331. In this embodiment, the second frame 333 is disposed along an edge of the second casing 30 and connected to the second casing 30 through the absorption member 335, and further the second frame 333 is movably connected to the second casing 30. That is, the movable portion 33 is movably connected to the electronic device 500. It is understood that the second frame 333 may be connected to the second casing 30, or the second frame 333 may be separated from the second casing 30. In this embodiment, the second frame 333 is a substantially rectangular frame structure, which can be overlapped with the edge of the second casing 30, so that the second display portion 203 is exposed through the second window 331.
In this embodiment, the adsorbing member 335 is a magnet disposed on the second frame 333, and is used for adsorbing to the second housing 30, so that the movable member 33 can be detachably connected to the second housing 30. Optionally, there are a plurality of magnets, and the plurality of magnets are disposed at intervals on the second frame 333. Accordingly, the second housing 30 is provided with a magnet magnetically opposite to the attraction member 335 to achieve the connection of the movable portion 33 and the second housing 30 by the attraction force between the two magnets. Since the movable portion 33 and the second housing 30 are connected by magnetic attraction, the movable portion 33 and the second housing 30 are movably connected, that is, the movable portion 33 and the second housing 30 can be separated by operating the movable portion 33, or the movable portion 33 can slide relative to the second display portion 203 when the housing assembly 100 is folded or unfolded. It is understood that the magnet of the second housing 30 may be omitted, and the second housing 30 may be made of a material capable of attracting the magnet, such as a magnetic conductor or a metal material such as iron. It is understood that the adsorbing member 335 may be a magnetizer disposed on the second frame 333, and magnetically adsorb the magnet or the magnetizer disposed on the second casing 30 through the magnetizer, so as to movably connect the movable portion 33 and the second casing 30. It is understood that the adsorbing member 335 can be omitted, and the second frame 333 is made of a material capable of adsorbing the magnet, such as a magnetic conductor or a metal material such as iron, and in short, the movable portion 33 is a magnetic frame surrounding the second window 331.
In a specific implementation process, when the electronic device 500 is folded or unfolded, the movable portion 33 can move relative to the second casing 30 (as shown in fig. 4), and the second frame 333 is separated from the second casing 30. It should be noted that, in the process of folding or unfolding the electronic device 500, the foldable screen 200 may be elastically deformed due to bending, and at this time, the movable portion 33 slides relative to the second housing 30 under the action of the elastic deformation of the foldable screen 200, so as to avoid blocking or interfering with the bending movement of the foldable screen 200, so that the folding or unfolding process of the electronic device 500 is smoother. It is understood that the movement of the movable portion 33 relative to the second housing 30 may be a movement of the movable portion 33 relative to the second housing 30 manually operated by a user during the bending process.
Referring to fig. 2, the protection film 35 of the protection cover assembly 300 is disposed in the first window 311 and the second window 331. In this embodiment, the protection film 35 is made of a transparent material having a substantially uniform thickness (for example, a thickness range of 0.1-0.2mm), such as silicon gel, Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), Polystyrene (PS), Polycarbonate (PC), Styrene acrylonitrile, Styrene-methyl methacrylate copolymer (MS), and so on, so that a user can view the contents displayed by the first display portion 201 and the second display portion 203 through the protection film 35. It should be noted that the protective film 35 is a touch film, so that a user can perform touch operation on the electronic device 500 through the protective film 35, and the operation is more convenient. It can be understood that the protection film 35 can be a multifunctional touch protection film, such as a peep-proof film, a frosting film, a high-definition film, a scratch-proof protection film, a tempering film, etc., so as to meet the diversified demands of users.
Further, the protective film 35 includes a first window portion 351 and a second window portion 353, and the first window portion 351 and the second window portion 353 are connected. The first window portion 351 is disposed in the first window 311, and the second window portion 353 is disposed in the second window 331.
Further, the protective cover assembly 300 further includes an adhesive layer (not shown) disposed on one side of the first window portion 351 to connect the first window portion 351 with the first display portion 201. Optionally, the adhesive layer is a back adhesive layer or an electrostatic adhesive layer, and the first window portion 351 is connected to the first display portion 201 through the back adhesive layer or the electrostatic adhesive layer, so as to improve the reliability of protection of the first display portion 201. It is to be understood that the adhesive layer may be provided as a smooth surface to prevent the first display portion 201 from being scratched when being attached to the first display portion 201. It is understood that the adhesive layer may also be provided in a form having a certain frictional force so that when the first window portion 351 is attached to the first display portion 201, relative sliding is not easily generated. Such as forming part of a fine grain structure in the bonding layer.
