本实用新型提供一种铅酸蓄电池上盖铅套密封结构,在铅套高度内设置多个环形凹槽,铅套底部放置以金属为基体包覆热熔弹性材料的密封圈。该结构增加了铅套与上盖结合面,加大爬酸的距离,加之密封圈的刚性、弹性好,阻止了电解液在塑料上盖和铅套之间的存在,密封效果好,从而最大限度避免电池腐蚀与漏酸的产生。

本实用新型涉及一种铅酸蓄电池端子连接结构,特别是用于端子连接部位的铅酸蓄电池上盖铅套密封结构。
背景技术
铅酸蓄电池端子的密封问题是困扰广大生产厂家的常见问题。尽管端子漏液时漏出的电解液总量较少,对电池的容量影响较小,但是随着腐蚀的逐渐加剧,会引起铅酸蓄电池的端子腐蚀,密封失效,最终导致电池报废。同时,漏液还可能腐蚀电池连线,造成客户设备的故障,极容易造成事故。
目前,市场上铅酸蓄电池壳体主要采用注塑法制备,其中,所用的pp材料由于本身无极性,很难通过环氧树脂胶封,一般采用铅套镶嵌的形式密封,通过调节注塑压力与温度来保证壳体与铅镶嵌件的紧密连接。但是,由于塑料与金属铅的结合问题一直未能较好地解决,而现有铅套与塑料上盖的结合面又较小,导致结合处容易发生微裂纹从而漏酸。为了进一步提高密封效果,密封圈被大量的使用,传统的密封圈采用橡胶制成,质地比较柔软,在装配的过程中常发生扭折和翻转,从而导致塑料与镶嵌件之间总会产生一定的缝隙,从而使得密封失效。
实用新型内容
本实用新型的目的在于克服现有技术的不足,提供一种简单易作,密封效果好,防止电池漏液现象发生的铅酸蓄电池上盖铅套密封结构。
本实用新型的技术方案是:铅酸蓄电池上盖铅套密封结构,由上盖、铅套和密封圈紧密结合而成,其改进之处是所述上盖为PP材料的注塑件,所述铅套与上盖结合部位的外缘带有多道环形凹槽,所述密封圈以金属为基体,外围包覆热熔弹性材料。
所述密封圈位于铅套底部。
制作时,将套好密封圈的铅套置于注塑机模具内,通过加压及高温处理,使得铅套、密封圈和注塑后的上盖紧密连接。铅套为空心圆柱体,电池端子与铅套通过焊接连接。
本方案的优点在于:由于铅套设置了多个环形凹槽,在密封高度不变的情况下增加了铅套与上盖结合面,使得电解液在腐蚀过程中需要运动的距离明显变长,从而大大的减缓了腐蚀的发生。同时,铅套底部加入金属为基体,热熔弹性材料包覆的密封圈,密封圈的直径稍小于铅套底部直径,以能可靠装配为准。密封圈具有一定的刚度和弹性,避免了后续步骤时密封圈翻转扭折造成上盖与铅套之间留下空隙或微孔,从而减少了电解质通过毛细现象积聚在塑料壳体与铅套之间的空隙中引起的微电流腐蚀。本实用新型结构简单易作,密封效果好,能有效防止电池漏液,延长寿命,保证安全。
