矿用救生舱的作用是为矿井发生事故后无法及时撤离的矿工提供一个安全的密闭空间，对外能抵御爆炸冲击、隔绝有毒有害气体，对内能为被困矿工提供适宜的温度、氧气、食物、水，为矿工赢得较长的生存时间，同时通过舱内通讯监测设备，引导外界救援。现有矿用救生舱舱内固定设备采用螺杆直接固定在舱壁加强筋上，在舱内外形成导热桥，存在舱内外隔热性差的现象。
