如图1所示。一种折叠式双层书架，包括第一挡板1、第二挡板2、翻板5和十字折叠杆7，所述的第一挡板1中部装有卡板3，第二挡板2中部安装有第一转轴4，第一转轴4上部连接有翻板5。第一挡板1与第二挡板2四角各设有第二转轴6，十字折叠杆7交叉连接第一挡板1与第二挡板2一侧上下端的第二转轴6，使第一挡板1与第二挡板2对应连接。
使用时，拉动第二挡板2使之与第一挡板1分开，翻转翻板5，使其卡于卡板3上部，即可将书放置于翻板5上下部分；不用时，收起翻板5，将第一挡板1和第二挡板2合拢靠紧即可。
